ORIGINAL: subrdn8 As a rule of thumb, 'average' dress size for a woman today is the inch part of your height (5'3" for example) plus 3. So, size 6. If you're 5'11", that would be size 14, etc. This is one of the reasons why I laugh a little when men say they're looking for someone 'size 8 or smaller', because they're after an ideal which simply wouldn't work for a taller woman. I wear a size 4 most of the time; I am considered 'small.' You CAN be tall, be thin AND be healthy. Are you saying I'm too thin?? Who came up with that forumla to add 3?! I'm 5'10 barefoot, 5'11 if I do all the streatching I am suppose to be doing. You CAN be tall AND be thin. Don't make statements that have no merit. I have found no complaints with my size or shape from men, tyvm. Most love that I am tall AND thin and STILL very healthy. One of the men I have had a few dates with is a doctor and he agreed that I can carry about 10 or 15 more and still be considered healthy, but, right now, I am still healthy and none of the medical professionals I have seen over the years have had any complaints.
