ORIGINAL: petdave When you absolutely, positively need a body count to exceed six figures, you need a strong leader. One who has truly convinced you that He Is Right. And when a nation like ours goes out and elects one, the rest of the world gets the message. These are dangerous times. You'd prefer a novice or proven weakling? Ideally, that would be the case. With the present POTUS though,it`s not.The world doesn`t fear us any more than before the Iraq invasion, and we`ve lost our respect and the moral high ground. The trade off isn`t a good one. The US,w/ a strong leader, can preserve our freedoms, ~and~, kick butt on the bad guys.Ron Paul has said as much,in his critique of the Bush administration. The neo-cons, telling you we must limit and/or curtail our freedoms and rights,in order to fight terrorism are full of shit(you know who you are..). Giuliani is one of those who think this way. He`s ~Bush~ times ten.Sure, he got results,so did Mussolini.Mussolini cleaned up Italy(by sending the mob here),made the trains run on time, etc.and was very successful as a strong arm fascist. Rudy was also very successful, and in very much the same way. And how he conducted himself before, during and after the WTC attacks, showed him as anything but a strong leader. We shouldn`t equate reckless and dangerous actions of leaders, with strength(like Iraq).Anyone can order troops into battle or torture and abuse prisoners. A strong ,righteous, moral leader would be able to protect us and our freedoms and rights, without stooping so low or becoming as evil as what we`re fighting.
