My brothers would say that lucky SOB. My sister would probably take them for herself. None of my family or relatives would be shocked by it. Im sort of the family black sheep so it would be expected of me.

Who wants to touch or look at somebody else's "Long John Silver Dong"? I would be grateful that that person gave me advanced warning that "here there be monsters" that were inside my private orifices.

Which does make me wonder what one should do with those, if one is the person cleaning out. (And let me take a moment of silence to thank my mother that the only item we found at her house after her sudden death was a very vanilla vibe.)

That gave me a chuckle, Carlie!

I have a letter that sits with my attorney.  My family all know that, if I die, my office is off-limits to anyone but him, partially due to my toy bag being there but mainly due to legal protection of patient information.  He has a list of contents within the office...including my toy bag...and he knows what to do with the toy bag.  Once that is accomplished, the office can be entered.  The letter also contains instructions as to who, outside of my family, should be notified upon my death.  And yes, one of my friends from collarme is named in that letter and they will...hopefully...inform others on here of my death.

My family knows more about my kink than I ever wanted them to and less than what they think.  I don't believe any of them ever need to see evidence of something that made me so happy but which, in all honesty, caused a great deal of unhappiness for a time in their lives.  They all know I am happier now but you know, sometimes it is hard for people to look at someone like me and not want to say "Why couldn't you have found yourself BEFORE you entered into a vanilla marriage?  Why couldn't you have put that part of you that you found up on a shelf?"  I accept that about them and love them anyway.

My family doesn't know about my kink, but if I'm dead I don't really think what they think of it at that point matters.

I would be more concerned that my poor dead mother would be embarrassed for me for having not changed my underwear that day.

Ron

How about ending up in a car crash with no panties or bra? I've often thought about that.

one less thing the paramedics have to cut off your body to give you treatment...think of it as helping them save you quicker....

How about ending up in a car crash on the way home from a session and having no panties AND a bag of toys to boot!? Talk about checking out with a bang!

Yes, my girl will take care of this. she is the executor of my estate as well a one of the beneficiaries. she has instructions to keep what she wishes, give away what people ask for and donate the rest to a fundraiser.

she also knows my memorial plans and has medical power of attorney.

This may sound sort of strange, but my estate has consisted of the family resting place (burial plot) since I was a teenager. Unfortunately, there aren't enough places to go around and my family is very big on tradition and...well, I don't even know how to describe it. So, as my elderly relatives pass away, I dole out the cemetary plots and handle placement.

Now, I am really running out of places to put people...and I'm having to turn people away and advise them to make other arrangements. The thing is...no one, except my mother, knows it's me. All of my aunts and uncles are fighting over these things thinking that one of them has control over them...it gives me the giggles...

So, I hope that they outlive me and I can be a fly on the wall when they find out that my great grandmother left them to me when I was 7...then they can throw my toy bag in on top of me in the very last spot!

Yay for suprising greedy relatives!!!!

When I have children, I can't imagine that I won't be honest with them but I would definitely make sure that they understood the big picture. I intend that my big picture be a long fulfilling life that kink belongs in but doesn't define.

I know my answer had very little to do with kink, but those are the directions that I've had to leave...

My former slave (who I believe reads these boards) actually had this situation happen after the holidays in 2000.  Her Mistress died unexpectedly in addition to being a cross dresser who was closted at home.  Her family didn't know anything about her being into BDSM much less being a cross dresser.  slave t and some of her leather family at the time were granted access to Mistress T's bedroom and were able to get out all articles pertaining to BDSM and cross dressing.

In my relationships we do have a "in case of emergency' agreements.

Luckily, I've been going to Ren Faire since I was a little girl, so I can just toss all my corsets, floggers, whips and stocks in a box along with my peasant skirts and never a brow shall raise :P Half the time when I shop I consider whether it would be a good Faire prop anyways.
I'm certain were I to die it would be my mother to clean out my bedroom first, and last night she told me she thought it would be fun to go shopping at The Crypt and "Pleasures and Treasures", so I'm not worried about any shock.

i was thinking about this today, a good friend's parents wouldnt allow anyone to clean her computer when she passed away.

and her porn was stashed in the "financial shit" folder, to keep her imp from snooping in there.  and she had some....pretty outrageous tastes.

i'm sorry for her parents, they had no idea of who she was.

I hope I die at the ripe old age of 103 in some small town...maybe I can be a local legend and children can break into my abandoned home looking for whips and chains...ooh and the small children can cook up tales about me around the campfire while making s'mores...they can head down to my basement and break out the Ouija board and listen for the rattling of chains...

Maybe I'll keep it big secret after all!
