Status: offline 		Hi to all I am new to CM and relatively new in my journey as a submissive.
Recently relitively by accident I discovered my enjoyment with the cane . There are indeed alot of mixed emotions that I experience after a session and would be interested in any comments on experiences with caning.

Some people love them, some people hate them.

Start slow, experience them a few times in a variety of ways and decide for yourself. That's about the only way to do any kink.

Can i ask you about the "mixed emotions" that you experienced ...? Do you mind sharing those here? ... i've never been caned or anything... but i'm pretty much always curious about the way people "feel"... i wonder endlessly about the emotions others experience... ^_^;; i know.. maybe i'm a little strange..

but! also.. i think maybe if you shared more of your "feelings" ..what you experienced... perhaps others would open up more too... and talk about how they also might relate to your feelings... and stuff like that...

Mixed emotions is probably subspace. Do a search and you can find oodles of info on it.
Steel-door.com has an article in her chambers.
From a feeling of lonliness to feeling utterly fulfilled. Many more emotions than I can think of at the moment.

It isn't only caning it is any intense scene.

Status: offline 		sorry I will get use to this and explain myself better as I go....mixed emotions one of them is subspace which I have experienced before so didnt find it too daunting the one that I did recently though was Sensory Overload...had no idea particularly what it was at the time but realise now that was what it was....it threw me in a bit of a spin afterwards as I was very disorientated and very dazed for at least a day afterwards. The biggest thing for me afterwards was that I love the marking and the bruises....however why would someone enjoy being left with bruises?

Status: offline 		I think I know how you feel. You're likely to feel mixed emotions with any new thing you try. Caning is no different. If the good feelings outweigh the bad the majority of the time, then keep with it. But if you can tell the negative is more prevalent, quit and chalk it up to experience.

I just found BDSM in my life 2/05. I initially had read about caning and thought it to be a brutal horrble thing. I just couldn't understand what would possess anyone to like to be beaten by a cane. I'm a member of the Black Rose Society in Washington DC. Every Tuesday they have socials and presetations on various BDSM play. The night they were presenting caning I though I was not going to like the presentation, and that it would disgust me. As I'm in my training period I decided I should still attend so I'd no the safety features of this play just in case a Dom insisted I let Him cane me or wanted me to top someone else for Him. I went in with a heavy heart.
The Presenter instead of just beating the daylights out of His model instead showed how you could drag the tip of the cane lightly over the sub in a very sensual way, showed how to put one cane between her legs and tap it with another one to make her orgasm, and discussed using it lightly. I never thought about those things. I only thought of someone beating the crap out of someone full force. He also read an article in a medical journal that stated a test group of normal vanilla people were subjected to being caned once a week and not only were they calling trying to make extra appointments, but they had a better sense of well being in a few sessions, they had more self esteem and more confidence. He did discuss safety features and the bruising that resulted from a heavy session, but the sensuall things he'd shown made me decide I needed to try this type of play.
OH MY GOODNESS I LOVE BEING CANED!!! It's one of my very favorite things now.
It's funny how something I thought was repulsive is so hot to me now. I guess you can never say never about things because you never know.

Status: offline 		Yes indeed it is totally awsome and bizzare that something that was repulsive to me could be so enjoyable. It is very sensual and because it is all new to me and not something I would ever have considered.....never say never if comfortable....worth a try

Status: offline 		Caning is good great fun, and you GOT to love those distinctive marks! But the heavy-duty stuff is best left to other people than I, because it can do a bit of damage. Going slow is always a good idea!

Status: offline 		You may want to consider experimenting with various cane materials. Many are made from bamboo or rattan and there is a distinct difference between how they feel. Others may be made from synthetic materials like fiberglass..again a different feel.

If you start wanting that extra "Ooompf" and really, REALLY like marks, try a twisted rawhide cane.

Try out some different ones and see what types of canes you really enjoy.

My dom has an interest in canning but I had always said it was too heavy for me and I had no interest. During a session with some floggers he had used a crop and I couldnt stop thinking about it the next day....I got very excited thinking of it...we discussed it and the following session he was going to use the the crop but thought he would try the cane and I was totally surprised how much I liked it and loved the stripy marks and the bruising afterwards.

Until recently, I was terrified of the cane. It was a hard limit for me. It just wasn't something I was willing to submit to. Maybe it was the drawing in Screw the Roses of the bruise pattern that put me off...I don't know, but it just wasn't something I would do.

And then Sir got one and used it on me. And that was the end of that little fear. I don't love them in and of themselves; I love canes when he uses them on me.

It's one of those few forms of torture commonly used in BDSM that can leave pretty bad marks... for me, I love staring at my ass after a caning... it's got these red raised stripes, brusing, some broken skin... so pretty... hehe

And it really doesn't hurt all that much. The single tail is still far worse.

Status: offline 		I accidently found out i like it... When we moved in to this house i found one hideing in a little nock above a closet. Just for kicks i smacked my girlfriend lightly across the ass, and she chased me around the house with it untill she got me fair and square.

Now that was before she came to understand her need to control me, and my desire to submit to her. Neither of us have any experience with caning, and we know about the possible damage and want to be safe about everything, thus we havn't tryed anything extensive.

Although i love the way it feels, and I think about it every time i see it laying around the house. Hopefully soon it will become part of the regular rotation, but not untill shes more comfortable, and expericed with it.
