I read all of that: fascinating.

I enjoyed the business model talk etc.

Thanks, now did someone mention jell-o wrestling? I shan’t be participating unless the jell-o is green in colour. I demand my say as to the colour of the jell-o dammit!

The management has been able to rectify your complaint. Green jello is the only color suitable for redheads to wrestle in. If you ask for red, I am afraid your complaints shall go unheeded.

What would be useful in my opinion is when a short description of the user is shown when one hovers above their avatar or nick in the forums.

For *some* people, maybe it is a Holiday Camp?

That aside, can we get the column back for slave/sub/dom/switch on the results? It makes figuring out who is who a bit easier?

Lots of people have made valid points.  I think the reason venom was given in some cases(I can only speak for myself) is the way the views were worded, not that those views were held.

fargle, we can all see they are tweaking the site here and there.  While waiting to see the column you were speaking of, you do realize the nicks are color coded?[;)] Possibly that might help a bit anyway.

farglebargle -> RE: Who broke the front page? (12/21/2007 5:54:37 PM)

Yeah, there's not a whole lotta difference between "Sub Pink" and "Slave Pink" though....

kc692 -> RE: Who broke the front page? (12/21/2007 6:15:05 PM)

True, but can at least cut it down to there till something else is done. At least the bright reds and blues show up, grinz.  That is a valid point though, and I'm betting that is one of the issues that gets addressed.

DesertRat -> RE: Who broke the front page? (12/21/2007 6:19:50 PM)

It's a free site and, in my opinion,  a great place to hang out. Still, I don't see anything wrong about expressing preferences. Here's mine: I don't like it. It ain't fittin' it just ain't fittin'! Notify the press! I can see the headline now. "DEMS, GOP SILENT AS BOB CHIDES CM OVER CHANGES"

I've always wanted to chide someone.

BOUNTYHUNTER -> RE: Who broke the front page? (12/21/2007 6:25:21 PM)

I don't like the changes either and before long I have a feeling this will become a pay site just like alt and bondage..

kc692 -> RE: Who broke the front page? (12/21/2007 6:44:31 PM)

I just got my third rescue kitty, will try to send you some pics when I take em.  How are your furries doin????

I was a bit shocked when the front page was changed one or two months ago, but also thrilled by that previous new front page, because I liked the new look.

This new change of the front page, with the pictures, though nifty, is simply not practical. It would be preferable when a photo pops up together with a short description when the cursor hovers over a name, just as such a description pops up when one does so now on the who is viewing me page.

sexypet -> RE: Who broke the front page? (12/21/2007 10:43:37 PM)

Like i have said..apparently offering a consenting opinion with the original poster is tantamount to committing a crime.  And one wonders why i come here so seldom.

To reiterate to those too thick headed to understand:  i would not even complain here on the boards if there were actually a place to do so directly with management like every other site.  You know, i don't pay to bid on eBay, but they sure do understand that users of the site are customers and don't allow those with dissenting opinions to be the equivalent of a kickball to a bunch of grade school bullies.

Hanable -> RE: Who broke the front page? (12/21/2007 11:10:35 PM)

i agree with rule (and several others i think) that althought the new way is growing on me i still dont like it.. its chunky and if i wanted to see the pics id search the pics.. i recognise the names of ppl i talk to more then the pics.... i think someone with a cute/sweet/creative name is more interesting then some one with a hot/sexy/cool pic.. thats just me. id like to see the mods/programmers come up with some kind of compromise.. something that would allow thoes who like the pics to have them but have some sort of perference or account option that would let us, the ones who like the names only better, to turn off the pics on the list option.

onto all the name calling and stuff.. come on ppl.. back off a lil.. thats what the forums r for.. to let us show what we wanna talk about.. i think its getting a lil over board on all the " oh i dont think your right so u can shut up". be adults ppl.. cuz i know all of u/us/whatever r over the age of 18... and if ur not.. u shouldnt be here... so can we all act like adults now?? plzz... i graduated high school last june.. i dont wanna go threw this stuff again.

H >:)

Lordandmaster -> RE: Who broke the front page? (12/21/2007 11:16:04 PM)

It's not committing a crime.  After trying to get used to it for a couple of days, I can say that I don't really like the new front page either.  But you have to be reasonable about your expectations.  They tinker with things all the time on here, and sometimes they try out things that don't work so well, but in the end they generally get these things right.  Contrary to what everyone seems to believe, the people who run this site don't do it to piss off the users and they don't do it to make money.

Hi Rule,

I agree with you on both points. I remember when the new refined version showed up. My only problem then, like a great many others, was that the pale grey buttons were a bit difficult to distinguish from the white background. Alas, a thread went up and later that night I noticed the change to a more slate bluegrey. This front page now just looks like a clunker.

I would love to be able to see a description by hovering over a name or pic in collar chat. It is happening now with the who's viewing me section. It's not all that difficult to place the same feature here on the boards.

SavageFaerie -> RE: Who broke the front page? (12/22/2007 7:47:09 AM)

I wasnt even going to bother to rely to this thread. But a couple of things did pop into my head

#1 being a free site, in general their users (us) are their beta testers, and Im sure they know by now that if someone doesnt like it you cant count on a a thread in this area being started. I have seen a couple of small changes since the initial big change.

#2 the hit per page on a busy night when alot of users are loggin makes the flow over to next matches repeat sometimes leave only a couple of new hits per page, but found this only at times where alot of users are loggining. I generally perv profiles when Im bored to see how creative some people write their profiles.  Pics not being a not a major deal to me. Its just a form of entertainment for me as Im not marketing myself or even looking.

#3 while yes it is cumbersome at the moment Im sure they are getting the input on what needs to be tweeked, I say give them time.

4. I have long suspected that CM would become a paysite elimating about the only active and useful free lifestyle site with as many features, I have been a member 3 years now and its still free with many feature that even a pay site can keep up with.

So I would suggest bear with the changes and let the programmers do their tweeking, I highly suspect they will be adjusted.

#3 when the change came of which I was logged in, there was a conflict with IE and Collarme.com recognising my user name and password, I have seen this happen with aol before so perhaps this can be rectified, luckily I have firefox also and logs in just fine

Tho I think if there was a feedback forum it would be useful for the programmers or a link on the front page, there isnt. So whats a person to do? Bear with them or go pay a high montly fee to participate in a pay site that most likely has less options. Me Im a poor gal so will just bear with the changes.

Just my 1/2 penny thoughts

male2shemaid -> RE: Who broke the front page? (12/22/2007 11:57:58 AM)

The site is much slower now and it takes much much longer to search through profiles. I guess the new layout must also result in far more hits/traffic on the server and hence the site will surely inevitably cost more in bandwidth costs?

Personally, I think it is a backwards step and do not like it. It is now painfully slow and annoying to search for people on here.
