The majority don't celebrate Christmas... They celebrate the 13th Fiscal Period of the year.

99% of people's objections to being reminded of this shit, would disappear if you stopped letting Wal-Mart and Target exploit you in the name of the season. Return to the celebration of the birth of your saviour, and not an orgy of commercialism.

"The Reason for the Season is AXIAL TILT".

Why is this always framed in religous terms? Last I checked, Christmas is a federal holiday. Last I checked, Santa Claus has nothing to do with religion. To call those green trees with lights on them "holiday trees" instead of what they really are is pretty ridiculous. And all the ads you see touting a big sale going on this time of year? What exactly is the sale for, Kwanza? I doubt it. It is a Christmas sale.
It seems to me that anyone who is offended by hearing Merry Christmas is a moron. Sorry, the majority celebrate Christmas here in the USA. Get over it. And the people who are so anally politically correct that they must stifle free speech in the hopes that nobody is offended by a wonderful sentiment such as Merry Christmas, are even bigger morons.

I believe that.

Sorry, the majority celebrate Christmas here in the USA. Get over it.

And everyone knows, the majority rules over you non-Christian pee-ons,so STFU!.<sarcasm>

I agree, that Bill O`Reilly and every other "culture warrior", trying to make trouble where trouble doesn`t exist,....they`re beyond moronic, and into to severely retarded category.

Let`s tell ~them~, to STFU,mind their own fuck`n business, and stop tell`n people what to say.

At my wifes work, there's one department that decorated the room with silver and blue. This was done to celebrate christmas but to also make one of its Jewish members also feel at home. Well, an athiest who works on the same floor, passed through the department. He stated that he was offended that the decorations where to celebrate a religious holiday.

In repsponse, one of the ladies replied "If you don't celebrate Christmas nor Hanakah, the the silver and blue are to cheer on the Dallas Cowboys.

The athiest had not arguement and went back to his department.

Lmao! Too, too true. Christmas (which I celebrate) is basically the solstice in Christian drag.

You do crack me up sometimes. Hilarious because it is ultimately true. I think you have given me an idea for a little subversive fun next Christmas.

I have no problem hearing "Merry Christmas", nor do I have a problem saying it.  I would hope that others wouldn't have a problem hearing, "Blessed Solstice" or any other religion's seasonal greeting.

I have always been of the opinion that anything offered in kindness should be taken in kindness, if possible.  Provided it's meant with joy and sincerity, why get bent out of shape?  There is too much hate in the world already.

Other than telling a Jew "Happy Easter"  I also don't have a problem with telling Europeans "Happy Thanksgiving." They have there fall festival stuff and we have ours. So what's the big fucking deal?

I have really enjoyed seeing the words "Merry Christmas", and being told "Merry Christmas".

Most of us can no longer say "Merry Christmas" at work, unless we know for a fact the person
will not be offended.

Has being politically correct just gone to damn far???
Is anyone here scared to say "Merry Christmas"?

I realize everyone is NOT a Christian nor does everyone celebrate Christmas, but why
ruin it for everyone?

I plan to say "Merry Christmas" as much as I can tomorrow no matter what!

too pc

I love the Christmas period; money in your back pocket, time off work, everyone in a good mood, visiting aunties and uncles whom you haven't seen in a while - watching them get slowly pissed on brandy while breaking their necks to tell the rest of the family that aunty x has been fucking the milkman, which they do after the 10th brandy, but no one cares because she was going at the postman last year, so it's not news to anyone. 'All good entertainment!

Merry? Yes, no problem with that.

Christmas? Well, it's easier to shake someone's hand and wish them a Merry Christmas than it is to explain the theory that god is a tool of submission - a common will, so to speak. So, I conform and say "Merry Christmas".......but always add "actually, I prefer Satan, he's more my type of bloke" where hardcore Christians are present.

Truth be told, they're words that are increasingly losing their meaning year by year; most people have no idea where Christmas came from, all they know is it's a time to let your hair down and have a good time, and get into untold amounts of debt.

Personal preference - raise a glass and wish friends and family health and prosperity for the new year.

i agree with Northerngent.. on several of his points. ppl have lost the true meaning of christmas.. but im not the one to try and pull them back to where they should be.. it dont work.. im a teen.. and i know if u pull at someone and try to make then do it "your way" they will do the exact opposite... jsut like any good teenager. i perfer my own god/goddess/person in the sky to god or satan.. but if i had to chose... satan... which is one of my nick names. *grin*
