I think that Respect does indeed figure heavily into the overall equation... But im not sure it can be called a "Protocol". Unless, y'know, ya want to... The english language is butchered badly enough already I dont think anyone would notice :P

(I am non-english so perhaps I use the wrong words to express myself).

I am of the firm opinion that in the english language there are no right words... I wouldnt worry so much about where something falls into a category so much as if you enjoy it... To me, that is the important part... :P

I'm glad that I made this post, as I've SO enjoyed reading all your answers to me and to each other. I too believe protocal is important. I feel it's an important aspect in this lifestyle (for some). Protocal to me, has all to do with respect for both sides. It helps to keep us thinking about our role/place. It gives us a wonderful sense of accomplishment when we make our Dominant proud of us in following his/her rules. And best of all, it's about the emotions we feel when we obey those rules/protocals. I wasn't too sure what I would find when joining in on this message board. But I have found that there are still ones left that are true to the lifestyle. But of course, the lifestyle is what you make it for yourself. We are all different. And if one doesn't enjoy a certain thing, there are others that do. It's a wonderful mix of the minds. And even though I'm unable to live that life as I would choose at the moment, I can come here and at least enjoy hearing other's feelings/ideas on how they live theirs. Thank you for sharing with me.
