That's the first place I ever saw or heard the term, too.  The women were definitely "defined" - very attractive, professional looking, heavier set gals who had the same type of "cover girl" look that the smaller girls did, but they just weighed more.

Status: offline 		To further muddy the definition, Wikipedia has a page on BBW, and cherry is correct.  According to Wikipedia, "The terms "Big Beautiful Women" and "BBW" were coined by Carole Shaw in 1979, when she launched BBW Magazine, a fashion and lifestyle magazine for plus-size women."

"Big Beautiful Woman" (commonly abbreviated as BBW) is a neologism most frequently used in the context of affirmation of or sexual attraction to women who are overweight or obese, whose bodies have excessive adipose tissue.

The term BBW is a visually-determined concept that does not have an explicit lower or upper weight limitation, and may denote women who may be considered barely overweight to those who are morbidly obese.
The term has several near-synonyms with varying shades of meaning:
  • Full-figured or Rubenesque - the latter term refers to the art of Peter Paul Rubens, best known for portraying full-bodied women.
  • Voluptuous and zaftig usually connote ripeness, sensuality, and a body shape involving large breasts and wide hips.

Status: offline 		The use of the term BBW ,while overused to a great extent ,still makes it more palatable to use for those of us of a more "fluffier"? nature..when asked by a male who yet, has not had a chance to view us in our full figured glory asks.."soooo, what kind of body do you have"?..and since the days of "never ask a woman her weight "have since come and gone, and a woman wishes to be as honest as possible without giving the "numbers" out exactly, the term BBW became the way to be honest...to maybe show to that male that she is desireable, to have her particular light burst through that ever present physical taboo....TemptingTaboo..:0)

It never ceases to amaze me how many females continute to get pissed off by this topic.  Does the truth hurt? 





No, dear, there is no "truth", that is precisely the problem. The only thing that pisses people off is when complete morons continually make sweeping pronouncements about how other people should define themselves, label themselves and then get pissed off when the confident women who reply to such threads speak up about it.

Rather than take ownership for herself.

I can assure the OP that there are indeed men all over the planet, including the smaller known satellite of collarme where men do enjoy BBWs and every other type of woman.

What the OP and every other person who starts the ill fated BBW and fat chicks threads FAILS to realize, ad nauseum, is that the most attractive quality that any woman or man can posssess, in spades....is CONFIDENCE.

Without it, the most beautiful woman is a quivering mass of insecurity and the plainest of women becomes a goddess.

But let's stop the passive/aggressive questioning of what would attract you to a BBW or any sub/slave; the question really is not about that, OP, is it now?

Not trying to be antagonistic but there is there a term like SSC (Small,Sexy,Chick) or TBW (Thin,Beautiful Woman)?......If there was then people would be pissed or at the very least not quite impressed

There are ugly and beautiful on both ends of the scale...and for those of us in the middle somewhere too....Alot can be made up for or destroyed by personality....and like sexyred1 said, CONFIDENCE is the biggest HOT thing of all.
