Gezz by page 4 an interesting topic has turned into a boring flame fest.

I thought the term whore was used for 2 things: 1) Talking about a woman who exchanges sex for money. (I still think this should be legal!) and 2) A term of endearment when talking with a woman who likes dirty talk and feeling dirty sometimes.

IrishMist -> RE: Do you care if your slave is a whore? (1/20/2008 7:00:26 AM)

~ GR to no one in particular ~

I am really, REALLY surprised at this thread. Dayum. Who would have thought that there were so many puritanical prudes left in this world. It makes me dayum happy that I don’t know most of you in real life because fuck; I don’t know how the hell you live in this world with your holier than thou thoughts, and attitudes.

What is so wrong with liking sex enough to engage in it with someone who you are attracted to; without feeling the need to….cement into a relationship with them?

Fuck.

I'm not saying that a girl who is raped is slutty. However, I'm also not saying that a girl who is raped can't be slutty. I'm saying that a girl who is raped isn't slutty for being raped. I also realize that being raped causes some girls to become more slutty; I'm not saying this can't happen. Also, I'm not saying that there's something morally wrong with being slutty.

you have missed the point CL and why your remarks are viewed as so offensive to those that have been raped

the girl who is raped  becomes promiscous because she feels like damaged goods/worthless  she sees herself as damaged  and therefore sees no  reason to say to a boyfriend, no!  I want to protect my virginity-because her eyes there is nothing to protect anymore

so she allows her boyfriends to take her not for her pleasure but because she has no self worth, she is simply damaged goods of no value, she has troubles holding a steady boyfriend because of her self esteem issues so often ends up in one relationship after another and when the males knows she will put out will flock to her with no interest in a long term relationship they are simply looking to use her and all she wants desperately is someone to say "I love you regardless of what happen, I don't view you as damaged" so she keeps going out with one man after another hoping he will be the one who will make her feel whole again and worthy of being loved

Does she deserve to be considered a slut/whore  by you because the psychological damage   caused by the rape has now  robbed her of her self esteem and self worth to such a point that she  no longer sees a reason to say no and now becomes a target for men wanting a quick fuck

Your comments referring/viewing  to her as a undesirable worthless slut now, is just a pyschologically damaging as the rape itself

If you can understand what I am saying maybe then you can understand the pain and hurt or offensiveness  you have caused to Annabelle and others, myself included with your comments

I don't think having a certain number of sexual partners has anything to do with being a whore.

*ding ding ding*

Yeah, I thought taking money for sexual activities = whore/prostitute.

But as openmindedslave said later in post #9, the real question (poorly worded in the OP) is really about the number of relationships.

Yes, that is always a concern but numbers should never equal judgment. When someone is first exploring, I'd expect them to have a lot of different experiences sometimes best done through different pairings.

What does one call a relationship? That depends on the person. For me, those lovely people I practiced flogging on or bondage on back in NYC once or twice weren't relationships, they were friends who helped me learn. People I saw repeatedly were relationships as were the folks I trained and owned.

Then the question becomes why did things end? Sometimes the entire point is to explore or to learn a particular skill. Other times the idea was a long-term and it didn't work out. If the same reason is given over and over I'd consider that reason.

Ultimately only you can decide what works or does not for you, what is a serious concern for you and what is not. Asking strangers is not a good measure of what you should or should not do.

DeepWaters -> RE: Do you care if your slave is a whore? (1/20/2008 7:29:23 AM)

gee and I thought the OP was asking if I cared if my girl was a prostitute :-p  gotta watch the use of the whore word buddy, the girls are mighty proud of it and I dont think they'd approve of you just bandying it about to someone who hadn't earned it...the sex profession is the second oldest for a reason ;)

lateralist1 -> RE: Do you care if your slave is a whore? (1/20/2008 8:00:26 AM)

So now can we all agree except CuriousLord that it doesn't matter how many men or women you have fucked? For money or not.
What matters is your ability to make a serious committed relationship work.
That is if that's what you want.
And if it isn't then have the honesty to say so.

SimplySubmissive -> RE: Do you care if your slave is a whore? (1/20/2008 8:00:51 AM)

I've known men who were a little "squicked" by  women who've had many sexual partners.
I've also known men who liked the "whore" thing too, much like LA stated.
Everyone has personal tastes, and shouldn't be judged for them.

I don't beleive rape enters into the equasion at all.

juliaoceania -> RE: Do you care if your slave is a whore? (1/20/2008 9:49:26 AM)

fast reply

I am reminded of an episode of Roseanne where her sister Jackie is on a date with a man that she hopes to become seriously involved with. The subject of sexual history comes up at dinner, and her date has had only a handful of sexual partners. On the other hand when asked to quantify how many she "has had" she starts doing the math... I am paraphrasing her response...

"well I am 40, and I have averaged about 2 partners a year, and in my early 20s I had more, because of 'sex love and rock and roll', I guess around 60 give or take a few?"

Her date is appalled at this number and freaks out over it.

You know, I laughed at that episode because whilst I have no where near that number personally, I understand the reply... I haven't lived with a man in 18 years because I was a dedicated single mom with a life. I still am. I have had a handful of what I consider serious relationships lasting multiple years. I have been a serial monogamist, and I still am. But to compare my number of sexual partners with someone married right out of high school would be patently silly.

I only care if my partner is STD free. I think it is valid to get squicked about disease risks, and lord knows growing up in the age of death by sex, I have been very cautious about that. To me asserting that someone is less than faithful because they have had a few more sexual partners than the norm is just an emotionally retarded view of the world, especially for someone over the age of 40 to assert something like that. I maybe a whore, but a liar and a cheater I am not

BOUNTYHUNTER -> RE: Do you care if your slave is a whore? (1/20/2008 10:05:41 AM)

I have owned dancers that many thought was a whore, while they were do their little dance for you in the back, all the time they were thinking about how to spend YOUR money on Daddy,Whore can be used many ways IE I was a Whore after a paycheck all those years prostiuting my body to the daily grind...So we must watch how we use the word whore....Am I a whore to CM after all its the first place I go in the morning..And no my slave could never become a whore she thinks too much of her self...bounty

vampiresscammy -> RE: Do you care if your slave is a whore? (1/20/2008 10:12:52 AM)

i presonally couldn't give a fig how many or how few past partners my now partner had at one time, its not really my business, unless an STD is involved, in which case i'm assuming i would know about said STD and we would play accordingly with proper protection or whatever entails were necessary, all my partners have made there thoughts clear they feel the same, as to Master? as others have said, as long as I am his whore, why would he care?

sublibrarian -> RE: Do you care if your slave is a whore? (1/20/2008 10:44:47 AM)

This has certainly been a spirited discussion!

Personally, I define a whore as someone who's been paid for sex. A slut has had sex merely because she wanted to. I don't think there's anything wrong with either. And to the best of my knowledge my Dom loves the fact that I'm a slut (and willing to be a whore). Heck, I love having sex, why the hell shouldn't I have the best of both worlds and get paid for something I love to do? There's nothing wrong with a woman loving sex and enjoying her body.

I'd rather be with a slut who has experience than someone who doesn't know what they're doing.

LuckyAlbatross -> RE: Do you care if your slave is a whore? (1/20/2008 11:29:16 AM)

It is kinda interesting that so many seem to be using "whore" as synonymous with "heavily sexually active with multiple partners."  Because I really doubt if I started to try and have conversations with them about life as a whore as in someone who actively engages in sex with people in exchange for money that they'd have much to really add to the conversation or understand what I was discussing.

So what you're saying is.. it's not okay with you that someone doesn't happen to be attracted to someone who's had a lot of partners..?

Anyhow, criticism aside.. some of us use sex as a relationship-only thing.  Sort of like an expression of love.  It's cheapened with excessive sharing.. so it just doesn't feel so special or romantic anymore.  So that's why..

I'm kinda surprised you're so rude about someone's relationship perferences..

It's how "whore" was defined in the OP.  The rest of us are just trying to use the same terminology to stay on the same page.

DesFIP -> RE: Do you care if your slave is a whore? (1/20/2008 11:41:13 AM)

Actually, anyone who would view someone else as a whore simply for having more sexual partners is someone I would reject for their narrow minded viewpoint. I don't get involved with bigots in any way shape or form.

Ah, thanks for explaning!

But.. this seems.. weird to me. You're telling me that if someone goes through an experience that changes them..  it's wrong not to be sexually attracted to them when they start acting in a manner that would normally cause me to not be attracted to them?

Still, I can see where this has been coming from now.  Not that I agree, but it makes more sense.

So you do not believe that a greater number of sexual partners is indicative of a likely higher level of promiscuality*?

You know, it's funny.. I'm not even sure how to spell that last word.. (and I'm too cool for spell check. :P).

So you're telling me that it doesn't seem more likely that people who have had less sexual partners, coupled with longer relationship periods, would be more likely to take commitment seriously?

I've often found that actions speak louder than words.  Someone can say something, but the past holds their actions which can speak more loudly.
