I was probably nine or ten and I saw a magazine with a headline of some famous person being accused of keeping sex slaves. It sent my mind in all kinds of different directions. I have also been reading Penthouse since I was about 8. I have always been an avid reader and they were magazines that I hadn't seen before, so I picked one up and read every copy I could get my hands on until I was fifteen and left my father's house. I'm not sure if they ever knew that I stole the magazines and read them. LOL I was never caught with them and no one ever said anything. Hmmm... makes me want to go ask some questions that would freak my mom out. Hehehehe.

Just an FYI: If you read up on the usual patterns of human development, you will find it a NORMAL development for 2-3 year olds to fondle their genitals. After all, they have just discovered them!! It is why many children of this age run around naked and you can't keep their clothes on them. And, yes, I believe it is the "prudish" social conditioning that ends up suppressing these curiosities until puberty, and the hormones that go with it, supercede some of this conditioning. Unfortunately, sometimes the social conditioning is so strong, these sexual urges are suppressed way into adulthood. Until another "usual" stage of human development comes into play around the 30's. The "introspective" stage. I believe this is when many come into the lifestyle. Somewhere in their 30s. Not ALL mind you. But you will find a large percentage do.

Lol, when I was little, somewhere around 7, they were showing that 60's Batman show on tv. When I was fantasyplaying alone, I often played to be catwoman trapped and ropd somewhere waiting for Batman to come and rescue me. :D

I quess that's the first memory I have of having fantasied to be tied up.And I've thought about my fascination with He-man too - almost naked muscular man with leather straps and loin cloth, mmm. Used to really love that show too when I was little, too. :)

I was having a chat with someone here the other day, that very thought popped into my head! What is my earliest indicator? My dad was a regional director for Sears. In the 60's they used to have these great big catalogs and being he worked for them there were always a bunch around our house. I was around 6 or 7 yrs. old. Female fashions were beginning to become more revealing. I remember being in the finished room of the basement, looking at the swimsuit and lingerie models. I had no concept of sex but my young mind formed fantasies of having these pretty women tied up, kept and played with in what manner I'm not sure. But I remember as seeing each girl in a different situation; hands behind her back, tied to one of the cellar poles, or hands and ankles bound together. I would get excited not even knowing that I was being aroused sexually. I spent hours in that basement room.

First grade, so about five years old. A boy in my class had broken his leg, and was in a full-length cast, and i was just obsessed... i wanted to be in one (or more!) myself to feel that kind of immobility and helplessness. Also, at that age there was still very much the boys play with boys, girls play with girls social norm on the playground, but one boy got to play "Little House" with the girls, and be the family dog, and i was soooo jealous... i wonder what happened to him (and whichever girl came up with THAT idea!). Pretty safe bet that i was also cocooning myself in blankets to sleep at that age, but i don't have anything to link to an age/year as far as that goes. i don't have any memories of any sort that i can solidly link to years prior to that... without the context of school grades it's hard to pin down years. There could well have been something earlier. Likewise, it's hard to say when my interest in bondage became sexualized, since that was always indulged in private. Certainly by fifth grade i'd connected physical helplessness to relationships, since that's when i started writing stories.

As for their being dominant, well... I don’t pry into their sex lives but as far as I know neither is involved in BDSM but my oldest sister is definitely a dominant personality. I'm frankly not sure what first attracted me to this dynamic. I've always been a people pleaser and eager to do as I'm told. I was the son that never had to be told not to drink or smoke. It didn't appeal to me to disobey authority figures. I am not saying I was a slave to my parents, but that piece of my personality is constant. I don't enjoy confrontations or 'making waves' so I'm guessing these personality traits helped guide me to this dynamic lifestyle. I only just not explored this area last September/October with my life partner. We haven't turned back yet.

Alas, I cannot remember my first indications. Even some of my earliest memeories that I can recall with any clarity feel like that desire for bondage was already awakened. I'd hazard sometime around my 5th birthday as I guess, maybe slightly earlier, as I can remember having BDSM fantasies by mid 5 ( I'm basing this on some correlations to real-life surroundings and events that I find out about later.) Even had my first romantic crush in 1st grade that had some pretty heavy BDSM fantasies invovled (yes it is possible for kids that young to have felings that an adult would identify as "romantic love" prior to puberty, its just very uncommon.)

Brings up another question though. If you did have early fantasies such as this, are you still in the same role now as you were then? For example, if your early fantasies were from the standpoint of Dom, are you now a sub or vice versa?

wow..Tyson and I were just talking about this today LOL

I was remembering that as a young girl, while all my friends were enamored with bobby sherman and "keith partridge", the show I could hardly wait to watch each week was The Rifleman. OH my gawd that look on his face...I remember my mom telling me time and time again NOT to sit so close to the tv ... I just loved his stern look, the control he had over almost any situation and the way he handled himself and his rifle...I remember wishing he could protect me.

I was also remembering ( as a teenager) that when I would feel lonely or sad emotions...feelings I "wasnt allowed to feel" > I would isolate and twist my hair around my fist and pull until the "bad" feelings dissolved.

for me...
