Baddsir -> Does any one actually read profiles? (2/3/2008 6:15:59 AM)

I'm sure in my  profile it makes no mention of sadism or extremeism yet i keep getting mail from submissives who are looking for such a Master there are others on here who i am sure would be happy to chat about it.
I should also add i'm not looking for young (under 30) girls my motto is...I know what i like & i like what i know I wonder if i am wasting my time on here?

MsLadySue -> RE: Does any one actually read profiles? (2/3/2008 6:28:31 AM)

We all go through the same thing. My profile states local subs in the 40-60 age range and most of the messages I get are from men in their late 20's to mid 30's who live across the ocean or in the US.

I suspect these people haven't read my profile other than my interests, if that, or if they actually did read it in its entirety, then they mistakenly think they will be the one exception to my rules.

caveat emptor[8|]

When i was looking everyone contacted me, and i received every type of offer you can imagine. It didn't matter what my profile said, Some people read it and went for me anyway. i guess they were just counting on mathematical odds that someone will answer them.

LadyHathor -> RE: Does any one actually read profiles? (2/3/2008 6:34:50 AM)

Nope, I think the majority at least from the boys,  do not, they troll--- I am no longer nice to those that don't.

BoundForFun -> RE: Does any one actually read profiles? (2/3/2008 6:35:59 AM)

I always seem to get requests from bisexual or gay male subs to be their Dom, when my profile clearly states that I am straight and that I am seeking female submissives.

KatyLied -> RE: Does any one actually read profiles? (2/3/2008 6:42:33 AM)

Yeah, they don't read.  I've lost count of the number of male subs who want to be mine.

lauren0221 -> RE: Does any one actually read profiles? (2/3/2008 6:47:39 AM)

Many people don't. Have lost count of the numbers of compliments I have received on my profile - that totally isn't there:)

MamaDomme1 -> RE: Does any one actually read profiles? (2/3/2008 6:48:07 AM)

You really aren't wasting your time-- you just have to cull thru the stupid ones that choose to ignore your requests.

They all think they are the exception, as was mentioned earlier.

Lol, nice John.
But at the topic at hand, i agree you aren't wasting your time but some people don't read or don't care. Some of it is just automatic messages. But i have gotten messages for me to dom them, to be collared, etc. But in the end i have found some great people to talk to. So don't lose hope!

BoundForFun -> RE: Does any one actually read profiles? (2/3/2008 7:03:40 AM)

No I'm cool with it. You have to expect that kind of thing on the internet. If you let it get to you, they accomplish their misson.

I was thinking it was probably the haircut myself.

OP, You write "I enjoy the erotic fun side of bdsm but feel the need to explore deeper if you like what you see feel free to mail me who knows where it may take us!!"  If I were a UK Sub, and I liked your picture, I would feel quite free to e-mail you based on that.  You might consider expanding your profile.  Make it clear you are not interested in anything extreme, because I would think "explore deeper" could mean many things.

I'm a word gal, and I do read profiles.  Carefully.  I've also written my carefully, and it is VERY long.  But it works really well for me.  Of course, many do not read it.  But it is pretty clear which ones have read it.  And I think that every now and then, someone is touched by it and far more likely to contact me because it speaks to him, and when that does happen, there's enough info in there that it can actually create a good start.

When it comes to opportunities for sarcastic humor, I'm an equal opportunity offender.  Though there is often a kernal of truth (something is attracting those men, and men are visual animals, hence my comment on the pose).

Don't feel singled out, and welcome to the boards.

You arent wasting your time here. You are, however, going to be very frusterated if you depend strictly on people reading your profile for your contact. Most dont, though its somewhat refreshing to hear that complain against women and not just a rant on men that dont read for a change. Of everyone who contacts you, mabe one in ten will be someone you will want to have a conversation with. Of those one's in ten, maybe 2 will pan out. Its the same numbers game that marketers rely on... if you ask everyone to buy something, you'll occasionally sell it.

If all the sarcastic humor on this board was so bone dry and razor sharp, they could charge admission.
