I do question when people make a 'claim' that they are completely in the .dark. of their misdemeanor.

Well, it happens occasionally that one has not the vaguest idea. And one then desperately wonders: where did I screw up this time, in what post, and why?

I find that my moderation is a gift...It has brought me closer to Mod11. It's uncanny how she can now complete my sentences....We are working on a duet for the CM talent show...I so hope we win.

"you don't bring me flowers."

Domi, I thought I was your voice of moderation...you know, the one you created so everyone will like you and listen to what you have to say. What about my gifts, Domi? I have given you the very best of my wit and wisdom and you are leaving me for her? I am hurt beyond words. My self esteem has hit a low point. Next stop...doormat.

If you stay, I promise we can be Good Cop/Bad Cop again. I'll let you be the Bad Cop this time. I swear.

What about our song, Domi? Don't you remember our song?  We were one together in cyberspace bonded forever by the immortal words of Christina Aguilera...

... [Oh baby for all it's worth
I swear I'll be the first to blow your mind
Now that you're ready, give it to me
Just give me that hot, sweet, sexy loving

Now give me a little spanking
Ohh, ohh, is that all you've got?
Come on now, don't play with me

Oh give me that hot, sweet, nasty
Boy don't you make me wait
Now you better give me a little taste
Put your icing on my cake
You nasty boy

Mmmm] ...

Sing him a little Karen Carpenter, see what happens.

the point is....there is no point.  Mod XI can and will do as she pleases. whether you agree or disagree with that does not matter.

That's not quite true.  I'm acting as an agent of the Galactic Overlords who own this site and If I was doing solely as I pleased, I would certainly hear from them.  They don't take an active part in moderation of the forums, but they are always watching.

whats wrong with the automatic 7/10 vote system done by the users?

at the bottom of each new post there is a <delete> button and any user can click on it and pull up something from ther zap menu.  On the 8th delete vote the post is autodeleted and an email with the reason and a copy auto sent.

The mod does not even have to get involved and the board self polices.

This whole country seems to be going through an its ok they are human phase from the president all the way down.  Not all aspects fall under that catagory

I stopped at this point and haven't read the rest yet.  Before I digress, to the OP:  Excellent post.  To Real One; the answer to that would be because some would get together (either right or wrong) and report, and in effect, a silent blacklist has been created.  That would have a very good possibility of happening, and who wants to exist in an area with gangs deciding?

(Well, unless they all decided to band together and cut down a tree, lol)

I'm gonna disagree...yeah everybody has a bad day. And yet as posters it's expected by the admin and moderators of the forums that you still address eachother with respect and not send the types of things the said Mod has sent.

I got no problem admitting when I'm wrong. It's an entriely different matter when asking whre one has messed up to not get an answer...rather a "threat." And don't seriously expect the admin of the site to do anything or change anything either. Yeah they have feedback forms and they don't answer them.

And these are reasons why people will abandon collarme in mass as they have alt.com. The admin and mods are playing head games like a bunch of high school kids who think they're cool. I have money on the fact that the admin is not likely to address any of the complaints listed or mentioned in thsi thread and that before the end of the day there's gonna be more "warnings" or open censorship of the forums. And on a site that's supposed to be about open community and has the complaint of the average Joe shutting us down....to have that within the "communisty" is outright bullshit.

There I said it...now I'm gonna go wait for my slap on the wrist or some such.

And I'm gonna say this...you have choices, why play in a playground if you are that unhappy?  That is not directed at just you...we all have choices...

and to make comments that might be perceived as childish when talking about going to wait for a wrist slap, gives the connotation POSSIBLY that one is sticking ones tongue out, saying "So what, I'll take my wrist slap so therefore if I know I am going to get one in advance of the comment, then I KNOW I am doing something that is not in total favor with the powers that be".  It also gives the connotation of possibly disrespect to those powers that be, including the moderators, because it possibly gives the appearance of toeing a line in the dirt, because you don't respect what you seemingly know are their desired forms of interaction, so some satisfaction can be derived to assuage feelings from a spank that happened in the past.

** I know the grammar was horrible, I apologize to the whole board for that, but my brain is tired today, lol**

Do you think that cannot happen with the present complaint system?  I assure you it does.  Certain people will just fire off a complaint about a post in gangs so while I recognize your point the big difference here is that it divides the emotional aspects among several people not just one mod and allows supporters of a thread or post to have a sayso in the matter equally with those who do not support it and peole can see if a post or thread they want is on its way out the door and those who feel it has value can vote to rescue it while those who feel it should go vote to dis it.

The same goes with relocating threads to another group all these options would be listed as reasons to either delete or move a post or thread.  It in the end makes it much more mechanical and a group action rather than a single dictatorial action by a mod.

I do not see the developement of any significant increase in gang activity than exists right now and the advantages to both the mods and users far outweigh the disadvantages.

This is not some concoction I just dreamed up its a tried and proven system ;)   It frees a mod up to deal with only the most important issues as the rest is done automatically.
