ORIGINAL: celticlord2112 Submission is obedience. Obedience is surrender. Surrender is a choice. Choice requires thought. Without the ability to choose, where can there be submission? Well said! i was going to post something of the same thought but you said it so much better than i could. Thanks! well many people agree with the question...lol but is some one going to answer it? Rhetorical questions normally don't require answers. The dictonary defines submission as yeilding to the authority of another. This require conscious thought to recognize the authority in the first place. Yeilding is a verb and since other than reflexes our actions require a decision, i can safely conclude that submission is a choice. Even if someon put a gun to my head and demanded my money, i would have a choice to submit or not. In the case of someone having sex with someone in a coma, the coma patient did not make a choice...so it cannot be construed as submission. Anyone who owns cats knows that ownership alone does not produce submission.
