Status: offline 		Love is deception.  We look each other in the eye and think we share this special bond that defies limit and transcends reality.  In other words, we deceive each other in order to fulfill our needs and to fill the gaping void that exists in our lives.  This ‘love’ may be necessary for some of us to survive.  Most of us are lost in the quest for meaning and happiness, and we give ourselves over to this concept of love.  You see, it reifies our existence.  It is the bulwark against the darkness within us.  Since the deception is mutually beneficial, nobody notices or complains.

Status: offline 		My personal tendency has been - and to a great degree still is - to say that love is a giant joke that society plays to turn us all into fools and blithering idiots.  
 
Granted, right now I'm bordering on blithering idiocy myself - but that hasn't changed my opinion.

Status: offline 		The emotion may be uncontrollable but the actions due to the emotions may be. This is where many people suck, or used to suck. I use to suck at it, until I took a sabatacle from all relationships for about a year. I examined the things where I feel I made mistakes, looked for the triggers and started avoiding the triggers. Then I just gained the willpower to be able to turn my back on affections that were not good for me.

Often love blinds us for some things that are bad for us.

I am going to take the liberty of posting part of one of his letters to me shortly after our first time spent together intimately. He defines love better than any man I have ever met.

"  Days like today seem almost surreal. You're perfect for Me love in every way. The girl of My dreams is most definitely you to a tee. The only thing I would change is to have you home with Me. I feel so close to you and yet I miss you terribly. What an odd concept.
