GreedyTop -> RE: Marines and a puppy (3/5/2008 6:23:00 PM)

oh my god.

Oh, we've always been animals. That's why the Laws were so important.

Since it's now "OK" to break the Law, regarding torturing people, spying on them, tasering their mouthy hippie-asses, etc, this is the logical extension of giving people the Green Light to act extra-judicially.

christine1 -> RE: Marines and a puppy (3/5/2008 6:26:13 PM)

oh sorry, i can't watch it...i'm assuming this is disturbing and i've got enough disturbia in my head at the moment.

*hugs* Christine..yeah, it was quite disturbing.

kittinSol -> RE: Marines and a puppy (3/5/2008 6:31:41 PM)

This was pretty horrible. Just as horrible as any scene depicting gross cruelty. Who IS this man? Is he receiving counselling?

Aneirin -> RE: Marines and a puppy (3/5/2008 6:38:11 PM)

More to the point, is he being prosecuted for cruelty to animals? Chucking a defenceless creature for 'fun' is not only cruel, but sick and sad.

I'd like to throw him across the desert....so he can land on a cactuc...or some spikes...or a landmine.

MissMagnolia -> RE: Marines and a puppy (3/5/2008 6:41:18 PM)

I'm lost? What are we talking about?

Sorry, I thought it was just a coloured font, not a link. I don't think I'll bother, given what people have said.[&:]

slaveboyforyou -> RE: Marines and a puppy (3/5/2008 6:41:43 PM)

His name is allegedly marine Lance Cpl. David Motari.  This story has been out for awhile.  The Marines got wind of it, and said they were investigating.  I haven't heard anything about it in quite sometime though.

Does it matter? Just a fine example caught on film.

Sorry, wasn't trying to force you. Just feeling a little emotional.... still shaking.

Nod... if that's what he did to a puppy, I shudder to think what he'd do to a human being. It's abhorrent, and war makes people do disgusting things they probably wouldn't do otherwise.

christine1 -> RE: Marines and a puppy (3/5/2008 6:45:58 PM)

i know charmed, i just know how i get when i see things like this so i'm just avoiding it altogether...hugs.

More importantly, is he being stripped of rank, pay, allowances, and run out of the service?

Marines are meant to be warriors, NOT sadistic thugs.

It isn’t war that makes this happen; war is just the excuse being used to justify it.

*Hugs Christine back*

It's not an excuse, yet war makes people behave in ways which are naturally abhorrent in "normal" circumstances. Otherwise, nobody would have willfully participated in the concentration camps. War just sucks. We're not the nicest  creatures at the best of times, but in times of war... well, the results are to be seen on the video. Marine or not marine, people can be complete and utter pigs.
