It depends on the tenor, for me. I certainly do not mind people who have some backbone to them; in fact, I prefer it. I've never been the type to appreciate those who do not have a bit of fire to them, but likewise, the expression of it matters as well. People who will argue with me in an intelligent manner, or who are clearly looking to see when I am willing to press them are the ones that interest me. Someone who is just childish and immature, or disagrees for no reason beyond enjoying being troublesome definitely will not score any points with me; that kind of thing I do not enjoy, and for me, that tends to be what I consider "bratty". But, words are all about perception, and kink is frequently about personal preference. Your mileage may vary.
