Status: offline 		I've always been curious about urethral sounds.  As a male submissive, I have always been afraid to let anyone use them on me.  I would guess there could be a great amount of irritation and possibly an infection.  What is the impression of Femdoms who have used them on submissive males?

Your "guess" is entirely incorrect.  Sounds are lots of fun and they feel good too.  Being penetrated this way is an intense, invasive feeling for sure, but quite a lovely one none-the-less.  If the sounds you're using are sterilized and well lubricated, there is little problem with irritation and infection is not a problem.  When i use sounds, i just clean them with soap under hot water.  This probably isn't totally sterile, but i've never had any problems with infection.  Feeling yourself stretched open this way is one kind of sensation and this, in itself, is a powerful feeling to share with a Domina.  Having the sound *shuttled* in and out of your cock is also a delicious feeling - a bit of an acquired taste, but fantastic once you get used to it.  If this seems like urethral fucking, you're getting the right idea and it's divine. :-)

You have no idea what you're missing out on.  It really does feel good.  Like any kind of play, you start slow and work forwards (with your partner) as you get used to the sensations.  Once you're become accustomed to the sensations, a mere pinprick is more intense.  Imagine what anal sex felt like the first time... a bit odd.  Sounds are the same.  If you do this safely with sterile instruments and appropriate lubrication, it's a very enjoyable sensation that grows on you.  And there is no question that you'll feel vulnerable, open, and invaded by your partner.  This is part of what makes sounds such a unique form of play.

Status: offline 		I suppose the reason I am asking is because I have had the wonderful experience of having a "bladder" scope inserted into my urethra and it was well lubricated.  However, it burned like hell the next day and I had to basically chew on a towel each time I urinated.  If sounds are a whole lot (they would have to be)better than what I just described, I would probably be "game".

some people will like it, some won't.  it can be irritating, it can cause infection, and you can go "far" with males. 

you want to try and avoid irritation?   use a sound, not a #2 pencil out of some old drawer or a q-tip. 

you want to avoid infection?  clean and sterlize the things. 

some people look to body modification to allow larger ones, some people prefer not to look like they had a prince albert ripped out.

Like anything you are inserting into an orifice, cleanliness and smoothness of the item is essential.  Sounds come in an array of sizes, it is NOT necessary to start with the biggest one, honest. 

Lube.  They make it for a reason.  Use it.  Also, check out an anatomy chart---the goal is not to enter the bladder or cause any damage.  Be sensible, and know the difference between pain, discomfort, and STOP.  Medical play can be fun, but I really don't recommend no-limits play to start with in this area until both parties are comfortable with what is involved

The bleach and autoclave are for the sounds, right? Otherwise this is going to be one of those "best if it stays a fantasy" sort of things. See, I normally just use a washcloth and some handsoap. :-)

soap is good for dirt and little else in most cases.  i'd normally assume alcohol or whatever if i was going to sterilize something, but bleach is a common recommendation.

Status: offline 		Bleach kills everything.  They give it to junkies to clean their needles because it kills every virus/bacteria known to man.

Just make sure it's diluted bleach water.   About 1/2 cup bleach to a bathroom sink full of water.  Leave them soak for about 15 mins then lay them on clean paper towell to dry.  The good news is that the amonia in urine kills just about everything as well.  I've been using sounds for years and NEVER had anyone receive an infection or damage. 

Anyone who has tried them has loved them.  Only time there is a problem is if someone doesn't know what they are doing or the person having it done has a scarred uretha from something earlier in life.

Status: offline 		i have a couple of questions, and i know that this can be easily looked up myself; but i'm cringing here from just reading this thread and following the previous links.  Sounds are not something i'm yet prepared or comfortable with doing in-depth research on right now.  Please satisfy my curiostity.

-Are sounds, for this purpose, usually inserted in a flaccid or an erect penis?

-If they can be inserted both ways, which is less uncomfortable?

-If they are inserted in a flaccid penis, is there additional discomfort or even danger if the victim becomes physically aroused while the sound is in?
