I clean my sounds with a mixture of bleach and water, steralizing is done by emerging the sounds into boiling water for a few minutes.When I was shown how to do this I was also warned of the metal pitting, that hasnt happened to me so far. There is so much good info out there, and with some common sense it can be done safely.

I have a set of rosebud sounds that I use on my submissives. Most are freaked out prior to the experience and almost all will let me play with them again after the first experience.

If you want info on sounds chaseunion.com and medicaltoys.com are two of the best for information on this subject.

As far as cleaning goes, if you are the only user you can get away with alcohol or diluted bleach methods but if you are going to use on more than one person you need to autoclave them or pressure cook them. I also add to this wiping them down with a cleaning solution used in hospitals to clean operating rooms. I also use single packet sterile lube for insertion as you want them to be as sterile as possible.

Sounds can be fun, but when you play with them remember not to push sounds down into the urethra if there is resistence. They will go down the urethra all on their own with the help of good ol gravity.

Again, if someone is interested in sound play do research before playing. There are 3 common types of sounds/dialators and with each type you have to be careful about using them specific to the type you have. There are some that have an extreme J curve at one end, [this sound starts with a V] and the penis can't be hard when you insert or remove them . The rosebuds I have can be used on a penis soft or hard and I have had a few guys come after I insert the largest and pumped it in and out a bit. Most guys won't be able to take all 8 of the sounds the first attempt. You should always start with small and work up to large as the stretching process is needed in order for it to be most comfortable and safest for the guy's penis.

A very long time ago, I babysat a 6yo male UM who was using sounds on himself, per MD orders, following a urethral surgical correction for some minor birth defect so that it wouldn't heal closed. And his mother made clear during my parental briefing that he would take care of it himself, no assistance or oversight needed. And UM did. In short, it cannot be too terribly traumatic.

Having had a catheter once myself, I remember most strongly the wish to get up and pee instead of trusting that silly plug to take care of it. Doesn't turn my crank (or maybe that was the surgical distraction).

Autoclave? no. Pressure cooker? Sure. Had one until a boyfriend tried to hurry some parbroiled fish and took the steam-launched weight in the sternum, while the steam parbroiled a forearm on me. Then I swore off pressure cooking. But finding older aluminum ones at St. Vinny's or Goodwill is rarely a challenge. I won't use alum. for cooking any more, but for sterile safety, great.

After my first experiance with sounds, which scared the hell out of me, I loved it and kept requesting more.
After a few times Mistress asked me to describe the feeling for her.
I TOLD HER IT WAS LIKE JERKING OFF ON THE INSIDE!!!!
She just got a kick from that responce.

Yes indeed! Sounds are a genderless toy and can be used pleasurably on both males and females. It's just a matter of inserting into the urethra.

Actually as a medical professional who has inserted lots of catheters in my time there are no "gender specific" catheters. One does need to have the correct size and type depending on whether or not it is a straight in and out process or intended to be an indwelling. And either type can be used for medical play. I would strongly suggest however that a person should receive r/t instruction from someone experienced in medical play before attempting any kind of urethral play or stimulation.

I also have a wonderful Estim electric sound, with great grooves across the diameter, to gauge depth, deeper the better.
