Now, gift-giving etiquette... since she is dating your brother, I'm guessing you know a little bit about her, or at least enough about him to know what he likes to do. She will probably share at least SOME of those likes. On this, I would confirm with the brother.
Do they like to watch movies? How about a DVD, some microwave popcorn, some giant boxes of candy (my dollar store carries them in giant sizes), a couple of bottles of soda, etc., all put into a clean, empty popcorn bucket (I'm sure you can score one from a movie theatre manager... just show some cleavage).
Do they drink wine? If so, how about a bottle or two of wine, two wineglasses, some brie, some nice water crackers, green grapes and red grapes, two linen napkins, etc., all put in either a large tub (Target has metal and copper tubs, some embossed, that are for chilling bottles) or in a nice basket.
If they are more along the lines of beer drinkers, you could do something similar with beer, two steins, pretzels and peanuts, etc., in a metal bucket.
