NESS CITY, Kan. - Deputies said a woman in western Kansas sat on her boyfriend's toilet for two years, and they're investigating whether she was mistreated.

Ness County Sheriff Bryan Whipple said a man called his office last month to report that something was wrong with his girlfriend.
Whipple said it appeared the 35-year-old Ness City woman’s skin had grown around the seat. She initially refused emergency medical services but was finally convinced by responders and her boyfriend that she needed to be checked out at a hospital.

To go back to the OP, I found this in the Associated Press article:

Looks like she just had a seriously bad case of the runs.

This just boggles my mind, how can you sit long enough for skin to attach itself to the seat???? There has to be a mental issue going on here, on both their sides, I wonder if this will be revealed?

It's a bizarre story.  How come no-one asked after her?  What does she do now if anyone asks where she's been?  It's not the kind of thing you want on your CV is it?  They say you have your best ideas on teh toilet - chief among them being to stand up when your finished.

Joking aside, she must be chronically depressed so it's actually quite sad.  She'll struggle to come up with something to do with her life now.  It's time to shit or get off the pot.

I'm betting there is something else up.  Imagine how much pain you would be in if you sat on a toilet for one day (neck pain, back pain, leg pain, etc.)  She'd been there so long, her legs had atrophied.  I'm betting her boyfriend kept her there, and that he'll be charged with something.
