Images just keep coming to mind when I think of this thread. Usually famous people simply because we all know who they are. I remember the actress Jessica Tandy, what a beautiful woman she was throughout her life. Granted, as an actress I am sure she had a few tweaks here and there but nothing to detract from her natural beauty. Then you have someone like Priscilla Presley, used to be so very lovely and now, her photos make me cringe. When I see her I think of Jack Nicholson as the Joker. Which also brings to mind how sexy I think Jack is, and much better looking now than in his youth. On the flipside of that you have the horror of....oh say Burt Reynolds now. Off the subject of beautiful versus not in people. I was thinking this morning about inanimate objects. My adult son and I purchased autos at approximately the same time. I got a Mazda Speed3 ( I personally think it is a veddy sexy zoomy little buggy) and he got a 1953 Chevy BelAir just like in the link below. All original and just cool as hell. http://www.1953chevrolet.com/ I drive my new wheels when weather permits, and he drives his every day also. People have continually asked him when he is going to restore it. (he and his uncle do high end restoration and customized auto body work for people all over the world) He always replies the same. "I'm not going to. I am going to keep her just like she is." No one seems to get that he finds the signs of her age beautiful. Granted, there is almost zero rust, and it is in amazing condition, but the paint is faded and dulled and there is dots of surface rust here and there. When I look at that old car of his I see beauty far beyond my zippy little machine. There is a character and history there that my car cannot even begin to reflect. I see a survivor and history. I wonder at the people that have ridden in that car, what their life stories were. It captivates me in a way my sleek sporty little black machine never will.
