Ok...I met a girl whose mother named her Latrina...wonder why she just didn't go ahead and call her "Toiletta". Hey, I almost resemble that remark. My given name is Latricia. My youngest son is named after the first of his father's family name on the contentent, so, thus, a very old fashioned name indeed, 'Theobold'. He goes by 'Teddy' so it is not so noticable. I have worked, in child care, with children named 'Marijauna' and children named after various alcoholic beverages. As a non-drinker, I sometimes miss those and am often surprised when co-workers tell me. There was a boy in my group last year named Paris. We were all discussing his name after work one day - he is about 7 or 8 - and I said, 'Well, I do find it a bit feminine'. All my coworkers nodded emphaticly and said, 'Yes, I have noticed, he is, isn't he?' I just glared and said, "HIS NAME! I meant HIS NAME!" ( But, really, the child was....)
