Muttling -> RE: Horrible baby names (3/17/2008 11:00:53 AM)

My ex was a labor and delivery nurse for many years.   One of her patients named her baby girl "Female" pronounced like tomale with an accent on the e.

'Had some friends that named their son, Joseph Mark Anthony Smith. How many run of the mill names can one child have? On the other hand, with all the Trinitys and Camerons running about, he may not have to share his name with anyone else in his class...

I wonder if this story is true?...I believe it is an urban myth. Seems that everyone who has ever worked in an emergency room has the same story.

Since I take pride in my Ellis Island approach to dating....I have banged my way throught the diverse ethnic pool and the huddled masses that is America....I have tapped everything from a Chirata to a Cheniqua and an Adelaide to a Abayomi...But never a " Tamale Phemale"....Juss sayin'.

She claimed it was and the L&D Christmas party was always a time for great entertainment.  Everything from doctors not making it in time and women dropping babies in the elevator on the way up to the floor to non-mixed couples popping out a mixed race baby.

She wasn't above making up a few stories, but she told this one in front of her coworkers so I suspect it's true.

Never worked in an emergency room but I know a young woman whose name was Female. She was a neighbor's child a while back and one day I asked her not terribly bright mother about the name. She told me she didn't know where it came from the hospital named her that. I was confused and asked her about what she meant. Eventually she went and got the girls birth certificate. For some reason a space to write the baby's sex was directly below the box for first name and whoever filled it out had written female on the wrong line. I guess she just thought the hospital got to name the baby. Eventually the girl changed her name to something else.

My mother used to live next to a guy named (I kid you not) Richard Head.

Think about it for a moment. If that man murdered his parents and I was sitting on the jury – I would vote to acquit.

During my cab driving days I knew a girl named Chastity. Although outdated (the name was very popular during the Victorian era) the name isn’t really unusual. It’s just that in her case, it was very ironic.

sambamanslilgirl -> RE: Horrible baby names (3/17/2008 1:15:25 PM)

can't go wrong naming your child Marquesha, Nekiesha or some sort of  -eisha.

when Shaq first joined the NBA, i knew two mothers who named their sons Shaquelle around the same time my oldest was born

Termyn8or -> RE: Horrible baby names (3/17/2008 1:17:11 PM)

Oh, she was good. She was very gooooood. As I and several of my fellow cab drivers could attest to.
