For some, third person speak works well. beth has managed to make it perfectly natural and useable without being difficult to read. Some, however, cannot make the transition from the cumbersome written way of doing things to conversation. You cannot use slash-speak when you actually talk to someone. The problem with trying to eliminate possessive pronouns from someone's speach is the ability to do so without sounding confused. I tend to remove gender specific ones from mine, since I never know if the customers I am dealing with (with many names) are male or female and if the name on the account is the person standing in front of me. IT sounded awkward at first, but once I got practiced at it, most people dont notice a difference. Speaking that way becasue it makes you, or your Dominant partner happy is one thing. Having issues with others for not speaking the way you like is another. My boys using proper english and using possessive pronouns do not make them more or less correct than beths non-use of them. Different strokes for different folks. (beth is being used as an example, since she is one of the few I know who does speak that way all the time) As the otehrs have said, your overanalyzing the language. I do not own everything that I refer to as mine. My doctor, my manager, my store are still not my direct possessions. My boys, my car, my lunch... those are. DV
