I never said there was anything wrong with a community college...I've been planning on going to CCC once I got well. I didn't know they now offer online classes b/c last I checked they didn't. So I am going to look into that now.

Well, when I have panic attacks just waiting in the waiting room at my doctors offices...I obviously can not be in a class with a few dozen other students in a small room.

I do. But I think I could afford it with what I would get with finachial aid, right? My sister in law goes to CCC and she gets like a good $1000 extra to spend on whatever she wants each semester.

IF you are going to be doing this online i wouldn't count on financial aid....certainly not $1000 and i very much doubt she gets to spend it on anything she wants...

Serving the central southern tier region of New York State, Corning Community College has its primary campus on Spencer Hill, high above Corning, encompassing 550 acres (2.2 km²) with a complex of eight beautiful buildings plus an Observatory and Planetarium. However, many students experience CCC off-campus at one of its many extension locations throughout Steuben, Chemung, and Schuyler counties.
Professors pride themselves on devotion to teaching, personal advising of students and are willing to share freely of their time outside the classroom. A variety of laboratory settings combined with internships provide practical, hands-on learning experiences in the technologies, sciences and helping professions. The implementation of MyCCC, a Web-based student information system, allows students full access to records, online transactions and open communication with professors regardless of their preferred location of study.
CCC students participate in competitive sports (including men’s and women’s basketball, baseball, softball, men’s and women’s soccer, volleyball and golf), clubs, cultural activities, and many other special events. Graduates transfer successfully to colleges throughout the country where they are well prepared to meet new educational challenges. Other graduates go directly into the workforce securing positions in their fields of study.
The college's president currently is Dr. Floyd "Bud" Amann. The college offers Associate of Sciences, Associate of Arts, Applied Associate of Science, Associate of Occupation Studies and a number of certificates as well.

yup, sounds like a small town to me.

oh but wait-
(also from CCC)

Is an Internet Course Right for You?
The Internet student:
  • is motivated
  • is self-disciplined
  • practices time management
  • works independently
  • uses helpful resources
  • seeks help from instructor and classmates
  • is unable to commute to campus regularly or
  • has time commitments or conflicts at the times traditional courses are offered.

Uncertain if an Internet course is right for you? Contact the course instructor, or speak with a Student Administrative Services representative: (607) 962-9222 or [email protected].

I already have my GED...I got it several years ago...it wasn't exactly hard LOL any idiot could do it. It's like 5th grade level questions.

Coming in on the 10th page. I am very sad to see you write this. There are many who work their asses off to get a GED, and for you to call them idiots is bordering on cruel. Some people try to get a better education when they are in their 40's and high school is long passed. Their memories of what was learned in 5th grade doesn't come as easy to them as those who are young (like you) so it is very hard for them to get a GED.
I agree with most here, if you want to make something better for yourself, get off your ass and do it. Spend as much time working on yourself, as you do here, defending your position and you may get somewhere. I have never seen such a titty baby, with the exception of Michael and even he has tried to improve his situation. Now, I will go and read the rest of the pages and see if anyone has made any progress with you.
