Whats *good and safe* for me may not be for you or others...

I have had great meets for the most part...I ask that they have a safe call ...so to speak. As for myself, I have never felt the need to have one.

I do not meet if I have not developed some kind of *trust*...

Me, usually I meet somewhere during the daytime and plan it to only be a 30 minute encounter or so with the availability of more free time if we have a great conversation going and it stretches on naturely. I pick very every-day, common sort of places like a casual restaurant and just get tea or such to drink.

Once in a while I'll veer from that, but that's the norm. That way either of us can excuse ourselves easily if we're not enjoying the meeting and it's very low stress, and even if we are enjoying ourselves it's not awkward to end the meetup whenever it feels right to or one of us does have something else to attend to that day.

Foolishness? How so? He put words into my mouth, so to say. Read my initial post, read his response. You'll see that what he said about my original post does not match what I actually said.
I see plenty of opinions here. Some I don't agree with, others that I do. I've thanked people for their input. Only in the case of someone taking my own words and claiming I said something that I most certainly did not got a response from me of that nature. And that is ONE person.

If your fortunate enough to be near one, the beach is a great place to meet.

The ocean’s energy and the pure beauty is, well, kinda romantic. Makes for good feelings anyway….

Especially good place for those who may be a little introverted and/or get a bit tongue-tied as there’s always something to talk about:
shells, startfish, crabs, shark teeth, pelicans, dolphin, etc, etc….and then there’s the people….kids are fun to watch and talk about and they open up discussion about your own and damned if there isn’t always an idiot or three that will give you a laugh together.

I like to walk for a while then maybe stop at one of the cafes (several right on the edge of St Aug Beach) and maybe grab a bite to eat, something to drink.

I too prefer parks. Typical first "Dates" for me start with a meeting at the park, a jaunt through the mall, and end at a steak and shake or someplace similar.

First time I did it with someone she was inside the room, with another woman I was inside the room and she was in the hallway but had some clothes on.

First time meetings should be a place where you both are going to be as much at ease as possible.   We put so much pressure on ourselves to be our best, look our best, try not to say something stupid, that we don't need the extra worry of being somewhere that makes us uncomfortable.

I'm not a big fan of crowded public places because there is too much going on and too many people in and out.   A public place, yes but I don't want to run into a bunch of people that one of us may know where we spend our time talking and entertaining others. Too many distractions.   Others have mentioned a park or a beach and those are great places. A riverwalk or maybe a small outside cafe or pub.   Someone else mentioned a fair or carnival, I think that would be good too and fun if that's something that you both enjoy.

Of course the scenarios presented by SimplyMichael are very erotic and exciting.   I believe you just have to do what feels right to both of you.
