I just want to find someone to scene with for now.
So why do subs need to ask 20 question about my personal life in order to assertain if they want to scene with me.
I mean, ask 20 questions about my interests in the scene is fine.  But hell I've been grilled less in job interviews.
I don't want to marry you, I just want to have a little physical interaction.  IS THAT SO WRONG!?!?!

Just curious, what does having children actually indicate about someone's back ground?

For me, I've been a single mom with no child support and no help for 10 years.  I think it says that I am a strong independant woman who doesn't need a man.

What does it say to you?

That just made my point: you have a sense of responsibilty.

Depending on when the 20 questions are presented it could be a way of connecting emotionally with you or it could be a way to get over nervousness of the upcoming scene with a total stranger.

Most people are social, they talk, they like the person they are with to talk, they share and they like others to share.  If people aren't being asked questions nor is the person they are asking opening up, they may feel that there really is no interest in them as a person, and honestly most people want to feel like a person first and a slab of meat second.

Now, I don't do the 20 questions, I feel that I can learn as much about how a conversation flows and what a person offers without prodding.  I suspect that I'd never make it to a hotel room with you as I'd feel you were secretive about who you were and very aloof.

You would never make it to a hotel room with me because you are a woman.  ;)

But I don't mind conversation.  I enjoy being witty and entertaining.  What I don't like is when a man comes right into me with the whole do you have kids thing.

It makes me wonder if they are secretly pedophiles.

I wouldn't make it to your hotel room either because you're a Dominant woman. hehehe

As far as kids go I ask fairly early because I don't want them interferring. An empty nester is fine but even young adults [over 18] at home could be a problem.

If you don't tell me something about yourself why should I let
you practice CBT on me. It's a matter of building trust.

I generally don't play with someone without getting to know them a bit. I've only played with subs at a party without getting to know them.

You always have the choice of how to answer the questions.  For instance, if asked about a job you might say what field you are in but not give a company name.  If asked about children you could answer yes or no instead of saying how many and giving their ages.  (A question about children could also be a sign that the sub is considering an LTR and wants to know what he could be getting into.)

I did not meet with my Master until we had chatted - on the internet and phone - for over 30 hours.  Our first meeting was for lunch.  I felt that I knew what kind of person He was before I entrusted Him with my body.  I knew where he worked, how many children he had at home, his basic philosophy of the lifestyle and life in general, what his basic expectations of me were, and the fact that he was not looking for romance.  Those things all helped me to be comfortable enough to submit to him.  (He volunteered most of the information - I didn't grill him for it.)

I think the question-askers are trying to make a person out of you, as opposed to just a name on a computer screen, to feel some sort of connection.  They are trying to get a picture of who you really are... have you been working at McD's for 20 years at minimum wage? Are you a single parent of 12 kids?  Rightly or wrongly, these questions and their answers paint a picture of the type of person you are, and establishes a baseline of responsibility and trust.  Yes, you could say stereotyping even.

Maybe we subs want to place a bit of humanity to the person we may be playing with if that person is a stranger?  Granted some of the question appear to be nonrelavent yet it gives that facade of human-ness to someone who don't know.

Asking a few questions in general is not a bad thing. Interrogating someone with questions designed to find out more about them then you need to know intially is. I often get the feeling when I get into conversations with boys like that that they are going to try and change my mind. I am not looking, but in your case it would be playing without a commitment. If they hear enough things they really like they are going to try and onvince you that you really want to keep them.
You might want to make sure that everything a sub might need to know before contacting you about your dislike of questoning is in your profile. Even if thye dont read it (which few do) you can direct them back there to do so after initial contact and only continue on with those that read and abide by what you lay out.
When I read your initial question about where you work, my comment to Fox was "Hmm. A stalker, asking where do I work. I work for Walgreens. Good luck finding me that way, there are 6000 nationwide"

I'm surprised you are having a hard time finding male subs to play with.
I've had a few in my area proposition me, but, I am not a domme, and I'm not available.
Then again, when I talk to people through c-mail, (man, woman, dom, sub, whatever) I actually ask them questions about themselves, and tell them things about me.
I would nevah evah meet someone I didn't feel I knew quite well in a hotel room for a random encounter.
But I suspect there are many men who would.

I can't answer that question.
I get a lot of emails, etc.  But I think most of the sub men on here are married and looking for a little online kink.
