If a sub screams underwater, can anyone read the bubbles to see what they said?

KMsAngel, I knew someone that was cross-eyed. One day I asked them if it impaired their vision at all, b/c when non cross-eyed persons go cross-eyed it makes our vision blurry and we see 'double', but they assured me it didn't impair theirs whatsoever and they also had a driving licence. It's actually quite fascinating - through an acquaintance, I met a gentleman whose right eye turned out so they never seemed to appear 'straight', and the left eye moved about of its own accord and without any apparent control, so whenever talking to them I never knew which eye to concentrate on. If I looked straight at the right I was distracted by the wandering left eye. In the end I would focus on their forehead, but always felt that was kind of rude of me, I have to admit.

yup. during the interview (i was mostly scribing) i would watch and see which eye was wandering, and which eye appeared to be looking normally and i looked at that eye when i looked up at him.

still, bit disconcerting.

we're hiring him btw, and i'll be meeting with him lots probably

Now that is good! It's a huge shame when people discriminate especially when it comes to the world of employment.

well despite the fact that he has NO qualifications, his background is TOTALLY nothing to do with what he wants, he's willing to work from the bottom up, happy to get trained as he goes, and is enthusiastic. and he's males. we needed more males.

What is the world record for number of tic tacs a person can get into their mouth? I've been measuring tic tacs and I've measured the cubic capacity of my mouth with water but the obvious thing I'm missing is the compaction of the tic tacs and the air to void ratio. There will always be an element of moisture content so we'll have to establish the moisture content by weighing the tic tacs and then cooking them until the weight of the tic tac becomes more or less constant. The density of  water is 1000 kg/m^3 so obviously we can easily then work out the moisture content if we remember that Weight = Volume*Density and so therefore Volume = Weight/Density. The weight of the moisture is obviously the difference between the start weight and the weight at the end of cooking the tic tacs to achieve a constant weight.

This could just work…

Fuck I assumed the unrealistic model of a dry mouth and that will never be the case, we must cook the mouth also.

If money is the root of all evil, why is it that charities and churches keep asking for it?

What purpose do we ultimately serve in life if our lives are so finite in terms of the existence of the universe and what will become of all our achievements when the human race dies out? Why do we try to become more than we are, instead of just enjoying what we have? Why we are here and what greater purpose do we serve? Are we more significant than ants just because we think we are? Is all that we are and the way we act in our brains and the connections that have been made there? Where is that glint of life seen in the eyes of the living to be found? Can you live a lifetime in a daydream?

I just woke up and my brain's exploded.

(But, I followed the tic-tac one quite well. Oh, the pitfalls of being a science teacher...)
