My dogs do it to me too. I think they know you are a captive audience for at least a minute of two and take advantage of the situation.

At the moment I don't have a door on the bathroom so there is no keeping them out. Of course, a rescue dog I took in had pups in front of the toilet last night so I have a baby gate up.

When I lived with other adults, and I was in the main bathroom, I would close the door.  You don't want someone coming home unexpectedly with company and walking in.

Now it's just me and the kids, and I never use their bathroom.  I took the door off my own bathroom so no closing that one.  My bathroom is not visible from my bedroom doorway, so no problem there.

Who builds an apartment and puts a door onto the toilet/shower area in which you have to decide before you sit whether the door will be open or closed?  If you sit, then you cannot close the door because it will bang your knees.  If you close it first, you cannot open it, same knee issue. One of the first things I did was pop that thing off the hinges.

Same with my walkin closet, the door opened inward and dragged across the clothes.  Off came the door.

Maybe this turned into an "I hate it" thing.  LOL.

I'm going to be a complete nerd here and correct you. The word politics comes from the greek πολιτική ( politikè) , which means science of the affairs of the city, or state.
