I wrote her, and let her know someone revived the thread. I thought maybe she'd come tell everyone what she told me. In a nutshell, she really appreciated everyone's advice, and because of that, she realized that this guy was probably NOT what he claimed to be and she never met him. Thank goodness!

Thanks for posting that update.

I have actually been in this lifestyle for 30 years. I have seen many players, fakes, wannabes and scammers. Since the advent of the internet one of the oldest scams that the aforementioned types employ is as you described. They talk the talk. They misrepresent themselves in words and in photos. So how do they get around meeting you as themselves if you have seen fake photos? By referring you to someone else that is actually him also. It seems like alot of work and sounds stupid but there is usually a reason he does this. He does not talk on the phone as the first Dom so you don't recognize his voice when he talks to you as the second one. He has gained your confidence and trust as the first Dom and thus is a credible reference to you for himself as the second Dom. This is usually done so he does not represent his tue self or post his real pics of himself because he has already burned his bridges in your community by taking advantage of or using subs that would warn you about him. Always seek real and multiple references. Beware of anyone that wants to isolate you from others especially in the BDSM community. Never ever agree to meet, exchange real info about your identity or trust until you have verifiable information about him that you have shared with another. A gfood place to start is with your local group by attending munches and outings with others building true friendships realtime.

My bet would be that while he is Mr. Wonderful, Super_Dom, the trainer he has in mind isn't....and Mr. Perfect is really the trainer. A "bait & switch" game.

i  was thinking that! - but how would he carry it off once it was time to tell the truth.  i mean - you know - trust and telling the truth and all that stuff.  how would you trust someone after a big fat lie like that.

if it isnt that, it could be that he feels he isnt experienced enough to train you, but that doesnt explain why he wont meet you first and once thats built, introduce you to the person he wants as youre trainer.

i personally wouldnt go there.  plenty more fish in the sea.

edited to add:  and now ive just read blushes post.  so yes thank goodness, even so, interesting approach, havent heard that one before

I'm betting he is known and disliked in his own community so is now seeking online. And figures once he has someone training with him, he can keep her as long as he wants her. Thankfully the op didn't fall for it.
