Really, though-
I'm here because, not only did I find my amazing Master here, I get to be part of a community where I am not (too) weird, I learn interesting stuff from interesting people and I don't have to be oblique about myself and my relationship. Well; taking asside the whole metaphysical question of why any of us are here at all, and what "here" is anyways...  >chuckles<

Long time martial arts (not the go to dojo type; more the Mr. Miagi go to old dude's house, or parking lot, or forrest, or where ever the master is; that is where the lesson and 'dojo' is as such), and also spening some time in the military has shaped my very young personality drives to simply Do My Own Thing. (hell, I started skipping school in kindergarden! [sarcasm] Mom was soo proud [/sarcasm])

I'm more connected to the D/s aspects and some (minor) level of ritual then anything else, and I like to let my mind run free (yes, I know, it's probably too damn young to be out on it's own like that; but what can you do?).  So I find the comunity a bit more accepting of being 'out there' then most other comunities.  And I would rather be me and bizare and on the fringe, then de-fringe and no longer be true to myself.

Oh, and I love to learn new techniques; I was joking at a class on whips - "A whip for a man, is like a dildo for a woman: It's one of the few toys that's just as much fun when  used alone"  >wry grin<  But I don't get 'hot' as such from S/M activities; it's more of a focus thing, and if it works for the other person; great!  I'll get my 'reward' after.

That, and there is a never ending stream of new perspective, new ideas, and new challanges to work with.

Oh, and I think that women in that whole... well... fetish thing.. are just plain hawt.  (Betty Page, you 'da bomb! rather a fan of a few of the suicide girls as well.  go figure)

It's been a lifelong thing for me...literally from the time I was 6 or 7. So how could I NOT wind up here eventually?

Couldn't find anything googleing for it, but I suppose anything is possible. Just because someone has said alternative gene probably does not mean they would be alternative in everything. I would expect that a person's life would have an effect upon that as well. Doesn't really matter to me either way. I am just curious why some others are here.
