Sorry if i've pissed anyone off, but really, you would think i'm talking directly to you! We aren't in a library! And instead of recommending i tone it down, change the profile etc, why not try to engage with me? You will be astonished at my reserves of compassion, empathy and open-heartedness! Take me on someone!

I think thats both funny and terrible about your referance to a name change. Its funny how you said it. I laughed out loud. But its terrible that the internet allows us to show ourselves and go into hiding again with a few changes to our digital ID. I dont like the thought of discovering something about someone and have them talking to me again next week under a differant ID.

I did change my ID here once because I wasnt getting responces and I saw that the profiles I veiwed all had similar characteristics to their ID. So I made a change. But I think thats differant from the concept I am posting about.

i'm sorry but does this comment mean that all of us here in CA are a specific type? i think they call that type casting and i take offense to it. i've noticed that you are doing that alot, especially with Dommes (which i'm not). i know You're angry, and it does help to let the anger out, but please try not to alienate everyone because you choose to lump everyone up into certain groups.

It is categorically not about me. It's about people like you having a little empathy. You are smugly inside this scene, and exhibit precisely the jaded, patrician disdain for "newbies" and their foibles that i have come to expect! You're not dealing with some Neanderthal who is whinning because his date wouldn't take her top off, this is legitimate pain, and it isn't sexy!

You have called at least 2 people if not more in this thread specifically smug, as well as all those from California, which I am orginally. I think considering your whining and woes is me up to this point myself and others have tried to help you and make you feel welcome here but ya know what. I am done trying to help you. You come across at this point as a sniffling brat, who is pissed off because others are happy or simply because people do not make "you" a priority. There are people who have been here longer than 4months and not "found" someone and you do not see them making random insults or general name calling.

People do read these threads and if this was the first time I read something you posted, ya know what I would not respond to an email from you either.

Why should we? You've shown yourself as not willing to listen to suggestions and have attacked people right and left.

I'm not willing to "engage" with you. You haven't given me a reason. Frankly I'd rather ignore you and take my "smug, beige, middle-class emotional censorship" elsewhere where I might be able to help someone.

then maybe it would help others understand you better and be more empathetic to your plight if you possibly found another way to word things, also so that you are no longer offending those you mean no offense to. You said that she sounded smugly Californian not that she sounded smug, you specified Californians which are those of us who reside here in CA. Not all of us are smug.
