An invasion doesnt have to be thousands of troops. Most people would consider ANY attack as an act of war, and an invasion, be it of land or air space.

If Blair and Bush had taken the fight soley to Afganistan, and stayed out of Iraq. They would have had more public support than they do now.

It's politician-ese for: If you dont do as we say, we will unilaterally send in our troops to get the job done whether you approve or not. It's the same "either with us or against us" Bush policy the left-wing hates so much. Just a different way of saying it.

That sounds like an invasion to me. And what Obama fails to realize is that Pakistan is an ally country with a unstable government and a radical population. If we invade, or send troops in there, or whatever you want to call it, then that population may rise up and overthrow Mushareff. And that would lead to an even worse situation than we are involved in with Iraq. Pakistan has nuclear weapons, I remind you.

Last time I heard him explain it this was what he proposed. Since kicking someone out of the G8 was pretty tough to do without causing a real problem.

Status: offline 		The G-8 works similar to the UN Security Council. It works with pretty much unanamity. That way no one can be kicked out.

Who would he be hoping to recruit? Any meaningful group of nations would need the EU, Japan, India and China. None as far as I know would be willing to cooperate with America ignoring Russia.
