Newbies are tedious.

At the same time, those with so much experience that they are jaded, and don't want to do anything-because they have done it all before-are just as tedious.

I prefer somewhere in the middle.

You're not creeped out when the Lamster chases you. (Or is the Lamster just a big exception to all the rules?)

Frankly it's refreshing to see a young Dom who ISN'T chasing women my age...that always creeps me out.

With me it all depends on how I click with a person before I'll even consider any form of relationship. I guess I dont really fit into the BDSM arena as I basically dont play and have no real interest in general play, However for me a newby would need to understand something about what I am and what I do. If she has the interest in Gor and becomming a potential kajira, I'll happily train her and as part of that we will use some "BDSM" techniques. However she does need to realise that what ever we do is for my pleasure and not hers unless I am rewarding her.

I dont like to be someones experiment and then have him change his mind in the middle of something. I had few such experiences with so called bi-curious women and I was really pissed off couple of times. I am too egocentric for that kind of scenario.

That is not to say i wouldn't 'play' with a newbie. my first Master was a newbie. i have met Doms that have 20 years experience behind them and lack the greater picture, imo.

I agree with you here. I've had the chance to play with both experienced and new dominants and there were so many other factors involved that there is no way I can generalize that my enjoyment with them was based solely on their level of experience.

The dominant I'm involved with at the moment is new..but after only a few months of exploration he can drop me into subspace with a simple look or word...Something a few very experienced dominants couldn't manage. They lacked some fundamental ability to trigger my submission, or the ability to inspire my complete trust...as you say they lacked the greater picture.

It's a complex equation.

(Ironically I was relunctant to enter into this present situation beccause he was inexperienced and I'd just come out of a less-than-successfull two year relationship with an inexperienced dominant...Thank goodness He changed my mind!)

Well, the main reason is that our kind of life takes a lot of introspection, and most younger women aren't ready for it yet. That's not to say that NO younger women are ready, or that ALL older women are, but my experience has been that you have to have gone through a couple of wars before you're ready for a d/s relationship. You have to have learned why dishonesty doesn't work. You have to have learned why denying who you are and what you need doesn't work either. You have to have had some relationships that failed, and to understand why they failed. (In other words, you have to know what comes after "happily ever after.")

What a succinct and eloquent answer to that question, LAM. As a woman of 46 wonderful years of LIFE, I thank you for summing it up so beautifully!

You're not 18 yrs old, dear one, and i adore You, so the attention is like water to a thirsty person. Maybe i should not run as fast, ROFL.

Ahhhhhh pink, the question is just how fast will you run if an old Grizzly starts chasing you?
