Status: offline 		It seems there's often an active thread on collarme about "should I come out to my wife, husband, etc.?" The most recent one got me thinking about the book When Someone You Love Is Kinky by Dossie Easton and Janet Hardy. To me it seemed that the most powerful aspects of that book are the letters people wrote to their loved ones about being kinky. After reading some of those letters, I got the guts to come out to some of my friends and I thought maybe writing or reading similar letters would be of help to members of the collarme community. I contacted one of the authors to see if she had already set up a similar site or knew of one and she said "no, why don't you set one up yourself?" So...I have:

Is there someone in your life you'd like to come out to? Here's an opportunity to write them a letter about who you are. You don't ever have to show them the letter, but you may find that writing it is worthwhile - for you and for others.

Status: offline 		I with the "I don't get it Crowd".  I have never felt the need to run around explaining to ppl about my sexual desires.  Whether I prefer to fuck dogs, monkeys, or even gasp girls that is my partners and my business.  I never understood their motives behind telling someone "ya know I really really enjoi fucking monkeys".  Like the person I would be explaining this to really gives a rats ass where my dick goes.

Status: offline 		I'm with SB on this one. Why anyone needs to involve outsiders in their kink is beyond me. I sure don't want to know that my vanilla neighbor likes to do it missionary six days a week and doggie on the seventh, so why would I think anyone wants to know my gory details? It has nothing to do with anyone else but me and my partner(s). And if there is a reason I should include someone who is not directly involved, and if, for some reason, I can't sit down and have a frank discussion with the person to whom this letter is going, I probably don't need to be telling him or her about my private life anyway.

Status: offline 		While I really don't care that people know what I do in my private life, I would like those close to me to know that bruises or marks they might happen to see on my body should not raise alarm about my physical or emotional health. What I have to rely on now is keeping marks out of view and not dropping the word Master into my family conversations. It would be nice not to have to be so cautious.

I dont think its necessary in my position, and I dont think either boy would benfit, but I am sure when it comes to people asking me for advice, I might point them that way.  Me, personally, I dont have any desire to come out any more than I already am.

What in the world makes you think that YOUR kink is any more special than mine???  NOT to have a coming out letter???  My point was simple I don't think your kink is any more deserving than mine.  I don't give a monkey ass that a dick gets pushed up the poop shoot.  hopefully you now realize that your kink no matter how some may view it as really twisted and mine monkey fucking is considered normal.  I do wish you luck.
