i just ran across this on another thread- Banished from the forums by the vindictively judgemental cliques that live in here. I get it now. Unless one sucks up to 'The Players' in here. You will not be tolerated. Gotcha. it is so becoming true lately, and that really really fuckin sad. flame rip shred me, defend yourself if this effects you in any way. or even better, take a look and see if it can be changed. fuckin sad i tell ya.

I have heard equally ridiculous things from kind hearted, good intentioned people posting incorrect advice claiming that defining BDSM nomenclature was arbitrarily subject to opinions, not Webster or established lifestyle definitions and protocols. As for the gentleman who posted your quote, I read his other posts before replying to him. I gave him a doubt and took him serious. It was studying his history of assholism that told me he was a pompous player by his words.

I think it's true and untrue both at the same time. I've been really upset by some posters here, repeatedly. But I do it myself also to others. When I quip and spit it is because I feel justified in doing so because I think I just read a loada shite and that's what I do: I quip and spit especially in the face of what I consider ignorance. I suppose this makes me look arrogant. But I've had warnings from the Moderators and I have had posts removed so I suppose it's not the so-called cliques here that have any ultimate power. It's sometimes just like being caught between a raock and a hard place. A no-win place here. But then I have also posted extremely personal stuff and been immensely supported by those who have changed their tune and even then also gone onto send me blessings and real support in private mail here. I don't go clubbing or to munchies so this is a great source of strength. I KNOW it can't replace real-time friendship but here I get to interact with the US community and with canada....and look all without an air fare! I really value it here and the freedom of opportunity and debate it really offers.

People who come in acting like asses and insultin over half the population on here, are going to get flamed. And I think people who make idiots of themselves deserve it. However I do wish people w*ould stop hijacking threads cause it amuses them. Even after mods delete half the comments and say stop this now, the hijackers will just post 5 more pages of bullshit.

I use these message boards the same way I use astrology and fortune cookies. read the message it gives you and search your self for how it can be applied. I agree that the Snark levels are rather high lately... people take things to litterally or react in a negative way without trying to understand the intentions of the OP. or even if the intentions aren't great people can still add something of worth(or even humor) and instead it turns into a flame war... in the end the worth of something is only what you take away from it. still this site is better then many others i've been on so take what you can get.

I do think the snark level has been somewhat high lately. I haven't been posting a lot because of it. I did create a thread this morning, and I was nervous about doing so! I was very careful with my wording because at times I've seen posts picked apart for the smallest, eensiest of details, while disregarding the intent behind the post, and I really didn't want to see that happen. I was very happy, however, with the quality, tone and helpfulness of those who replied, so there is hope. [:)]
