I'm on a higher plane with my thinking today.

Obviously not many people get pleasure from wearing a chicken suit but the more one breaks away from the crowd to call themselves an individual the stronger those people are categorised. Goths, pagans, architect's etc.

Until I came across this thread I had never heard of "Metrosexuality" either.

It seems to me that someone like Beckham can afford to always look smart.

For myself I shower every morning and shower in the evening after a hard physical day of work.

I usually shave once a week, but will shave more often if I go out in the evenings.

I cut my hair myself with clippers everytime it gets too long.

I've never been one for wearing suits, pretty much always T-shirt, jeans and boots.

I never have used skin creams and all that stuff.

A decent deoderant and after shave lotion does me fine.

But then each to their own I say!

Lucky you... I gotta shave at least once a day... sometimes twice.

I thought someone said you were a metrosexual?

Those metrosexuals all shave their chests and sometimes their legs too don’t you know, I conducted a survey and they all told me so.

you'd never catch me wearing aftershave

Wearing aftershave is metrosexual?  I have to splash on aftershave or I get razor bumps.  But I don't jewelry of any kind except a wristwatch.  I only wear Timex watches, so I don't spend much money on them.  I rarely wear suits, and I only have a couple.  People are informal in this part of the country, and very few wear them even for work.  It's too hot in the spring and summer to wear a jacket anyway.

I get my haircut regularly, but I only go to barbers.  I've been going to the same barber for 5 years.  It costs me 10 dollars plus my usual tip.  I think men that spend more than 20 dollars on a haircut are fools.

Its to bad that some men dont use after shave or cologne. The smell of Aramis or good aftershave really sends a lady like me into orbit. But alas, some men just dont want a lady like me*sigh

You know, I have never heard of Aramis.  I generally wear English Leather.  I like the way it smells.  I can't wear a lot of aftershaves, they are just too strong and make me nauseous.  I used to wear Old Spice, but I was told by a woman I was dating that I smelled like her grandfather.    So that was the end of that.

Only later to find out she was in to older men...

Seriously though, I don't like strong scents either which is why I don't wear cologne or aftershaves.  I generally dislike perfumes as well... particularly the strong stuff.

Well I have red hair and fair skin.

If I shave more than every two days I get a very bad rash...sensitive skin don't you know.

Whilst were on the subject of shaving.......I can't use an electric shaver because the hair is too thick...clogs up the works.......I don't use those fancy multi blade wet razors either...complete waste of money.....No, I use an old style safety razor....blades are real cheap and real sharp!

A multi blade razor can last three weeks a single blade razor would last less time. There is a logical trade off.

I use an old Gillette safety razor, and I get the best shaves with it.  The blades are cheap.  I pay about 5 dollars for 10 blades, and the blades will last about a week and a half for me.  I will never go back to paying 15 bucks for 10 replacement cartridges in a multi bladed razor again.  Safety razors give better shaves anyway.  The only thing better is a straight razor.  I won't use one.  I am a klutz, and I would end up cutting my throat.

The price of disposable razors is shocking. I pay about $8 for five cartridges.

Hey... I beg to differ.....if I use a multi blade razor I'm lucky if I get three shaves out of it.......yet if I use a safety razor it lasts for at least a month!

And its a third of the price of a fancy multi blade!

You get 10 safety blades to 5 multi blade disposables for less money.
