Well I've had enough fun helping DA dig his hole.

I haven't been telling the whole story to see how far the righties would go in providing BS answers. In 2000 when asked why he missed the physical he claimed he wanted his family physician to perform it, not allowed by ANG and USAF regulations so not the real reason. After being removed from flight status the National Guard Bureau ordered GWB to acknowledge the suspension in writing, he didn't, and ordered his CO to conduct an investigation in compliance with AFM 35-13 to either result in a flight evaluation board or a recommendation up the chain of command, no record of the investigation exists and neither action was taken.

As to the claim that he may have turned in his wings, here is a picture of GWB right before his "mission accomplished" speech wearing a flight suit with a flight wings patch. So either he did not turn in his wings in 1972 or he was wearing wings he had no right to in 2003.

Ken. You are REALLY starting to frighten me with the obsession, blantant lying, and delusional fantasies about the way things work in the military.  IF YOU NOTICE THE WINGS ON THE FLIGHT SUIT THEY ARE GOLD NAVAL AVIATOR WINGS, WHICH HE NEVER WOULD HAVE HAD IN THE FIRST PLACE TO TURN IN. (Singing "I dont know but its been said, Air Force Wings are made of lead... But I know cause Ive been told that Navy Wings are made of gold...")

Jesus fucking Christ, so the Navy gave the Commander in Chief a flight suit with a name tag and gold wings BIG FUCKING DEAL in commeration of a historic occassion in naval aviation- a sitting president trapping on a carrier at sea. Guess what, he also got inducted into the Tailhook Association? Got a problem with that too??? I'm a life member and I don't!

Want to really shit your pants??? I bought my former five year old stepson a little Navy flight suit, complete with squadron patches, and a name tag with gold aviator wings,  his name, and the callsign "Pickles" (Which was a play on his first name) OK he went tp an airshow wearing a flight suit with a name plate that had gold aviator wings and said:

_____________ "Pickles" ____________

You want one??? If you can raise $12 you too can have one! www.flightsuits.com/uniform_tag.html

What you are ranting about now is SUCH a grevious serious offense that, in the case of my step son who wasnt even the PRESDIDENT at the time,  the kid was picked up by the Blue Angels lead, carried past the barrier, and photographed sitting on the cockpit rim of the #1 Blue Angels F/A-18 giving a big smile and a "thumbs up". He was also given a REAL Blue Angels patch for his little flight suit... His picture was on their web site for about six months...

Would you like to court martial me? The kid? The Blue Angels? How about all of us???

As for your crap about the family doctor - BULLSHIT. A "family doctor" cant give a private pilot physical unless he is an FAA AME / Flight Surgeon much less a military flight physical. Odd how Bush would see the ANG Dentist but insist on his family doctor for a flight physical. ABSOLUTE BULLSHIT and I dont buy it.

Get over it, no action was taken because the man did nothing wrong... He wasnt court martialed because no charges were filed and unless the air force is a corrupt organization, which it is not, none were warranted.  He will be out of office on Jan 20th, living out his days in Crawford, and then you can start picking away at McCain...

thanks, not necessary, but accepted. I am the first to admit I get very heated discussing Bush. I hate him, plain and simple.
I would love a viable third party, I am afraid that I hold on to that archaic notion of my vote being thrown away then I get irritated because I feel like I am being forced to choose a lesser of two evils again. It sucks.

Edited to add:    DA duuuude breathe..lol.   this guy wants his temper tantrum back.

Trying to ignore the strident derailing sounds here, Aynne, but yesterday a few people were genuinely happy and hopeful that there was finally a designated candidate for the Democratic party. Perhaps that is the way to go: I was thinking about this last night, and realised that it's tempting to be jaded in politics but that sometimes, it's also liberating to give it all your heart and to just 'let go' and abandon yourself to hope... a bit like you would to a lover.

I know, I know, it's a little lyrical... but hey! Worth trying :-) .

Calm down DA you got caught in your own lies and now look foolish but that is the price you pay for your blind devotion to a man not worthy of such.

You want to give your kid a flight suit no problem no one is going to think he might have earned them. But a grown man wearing unearned wings? I'll leave that response to the pilots but I held surface warfare quals while in the service and I'd take a dim view of anyone wearing the pin without having earned it. My experiences with EOD and SEAL operators says they would likely take violent action against anyone wearing their pins without earning them.

As to the family doctor thing, I didn't claim it, GWB did. That was his explanation for why he missed the physical. I know its bull and you've admitted it was bull but that doesn't change the fact that he claimed it.

I am trying kit.  My hatred of Bush is equally as proportionate as my love for all things Clinton..shhhhh...i know. I really am trying to keep an open mind re:obama. I mean it is absolutely uncomprehensible to vote gop so I would truly like to be a bit more excited. Give me just a few more days to sink in that Hillary is done. <sobs> Your analogy was perfect.

Aynne, youre right and I completely respect your right to dislike Bush for any number of reasons, just as I would rather see Obama forcibly removed from the Senate, shipped to Gitmo, and tortured until he gave up the locations of his terrorist half brother Abango Obama and cousin Raila Odinga than to see him elected.

However, when someone else starts bitching that the President of the United States was given a $12 name tag by the Navy that had wings on it, I mean Jesus Christ thats taking the Bush hatred a little far... Some people just don't get the concept of "Honorary" and will clutch at straws to attack a man who will leave office on Jan 20th...  What ever happened to innocent till proven guilty? Bush was never even charged... Now is the Air Force crooked??? I dont think so - thus if that service has honor and integrity the lack of prosecution means a lack of wrong doing.

DA, this is what scares me. I think you are a pretty sharp guy, I mean I think yur political views are just whack, but all in all I know you have some powers of reasoning and logic. Sooooo..you either believe this insanity or you just use it to try and discredit the man. Either option is not appealing. Gitmo needs to be shut the fuck down by the way.

Actually, for the first election after 9/11 and with a tactician's view going "where the heck is the follow up attack?"  i considered it a bit smarter to look to a guy who knew how to duck and cover, then a fellow who was decorated with 4 indications that he might not have enough sense to get the hell out of the way.  Without evidence or any indication that it was Bush's intent, the perpetrators seem to be focused on another part of the world, with people that can shoot back, not the next tall building they can find.  It is disheartening that the presumed leader is still at large.

No. The DNC itself shafted her. My .02 and I am sure not a popular one.

Aynne, do your own reasearch on Odinga. Should the president of the United States REALLY be kin to a man responsible for what is called "Kenya's Killing Fields"??? Railia Odinga needs to die... He us exactly the reason the CIA has paramilitary forces, and the US Military has snipers and "black ops" etc... He happens to be Barrack Hussein Obama's cousin. That is a fact. It is also a fact that Odinga is a murderous thug responsible for massacres and unspeakable crimes against humanity. The President of the United States should be directing the assination of people like Odinga not attending family reuninons with them. I mean lets take the race out of it - should we elect Hitlers American cousin? How about some US relative of Slobadon Milosocvich?

You may think my political views are whacked but every American, before November should find out who Odinga is and what his connection to Obama is. Its a legitimate question - Obama's half brother and his cousin want to destabilize Africa and to oust a US friendly regieme in favor of a radical islamic state.  Will the President of the US let that happen. Will Barrack Hussein Obama, if necessecary, order an air strike on his own family reuinion?

Thats not whacked, thats fact. Look them up and see for yourself if those are the relatives you want the President to have....

Dom Aviator,
K, I am going to because I actually do like to hear and at least try and absorb both sides of an issue..unlike some. In answer to your question about the relatives of the President, I would prefer she have one relative, a daughter named Chelsea. okay okay I know....moving on now...

Do you know a lot of Hillary girls captain? They tend to be a bothersome and rambunctious sort. Not for the faint of heart.  You know, all of those pesky ideas like equality, and women's rights and stuff. How progressive of the little bitches.

DA, are you a sucker or a liar?

Odinga is not Senator Obama's cousin. Furthermore Odinga is the Prime Minister of Kenya and is certainly not trying to bring down the Kenyan government that he leads.
http://snopes.com/politics/obama/kenya.asp

The claims about the half brother seems to be about Roy, Obongo, and don't seem to have any substance at all.

But anyway DA are you really arguing against someone based on putative relatives who the man has only met a few times?
