Have I forfeited my rights to see the links he made to debunk the Obama mis-characterizations?

How 'bout it Alumbrado?

Firm

Anybody who really wants to, can see the links I made... and anybody who wanted to prove that Snopes and the rest of the sources I cited were wrong about Obama and Wright, had ample opportunity to do so in those threads where they appeared.... The fact that people did respond to them when they were posted supports the notion of their existence, and ease of access.

I haven't prevented anyone from seeing anything, the only way to do that is to put your own hands firmly over your own eyes.

And pretending they don't exist because someone doesn't like the conclusions they support is also entirely a matter of choice.

Let me know when you have something.

Alumbrado,

We've crossed swords a few times, but generally I really enjoy reading your post.  Except for a few blind spots that you have (as we all do), I have a high regard for your intellect.

In this thread, however, you aren't coming across very well.

I don't read all the threads, for various reasons.  Primarily, lately, because I've just been too busy to devote that much time to it.  So I've probably missed most of what you are referring to, about Obama.

I'm not a believer in a lot of the political flack that flies around about him being a "closet Muslim" and all that stuff.  I really don't care if  Wright was a little more circumspect on one occasion about his views, when they were recorded..

What I thought you had done was provide a concise debunking to many of the politically motivated "stories" concerning him, and a link wouldn't be that hard.

But if you are saying that you have, at different times, in several different threads, debunked all of the myths that you have seen, and feel it is too much of an imposition to round them all up, that's fine.

Just say that, rather than insulting anyone that you believe doesn't believe that Obama is the second coming of JFK.

Personally, I'd love to love Obama, and believe his rhetoric.  But I'm often a cynic, especially when it comes to politicians, and mass movements.

Debunking is great.  It is a needed service, and contributes to critical thinking.  But at the end of the day, it's a negative thing.  It only tells us what is false.  It doesn't tell us what is true, or what the positive reasons are that would motivate anyone to support him.

What are the reasons that I (or anyone else) should vote for Obama?

Firm

LOL! It's on Yahoo News right now that Hillary would consider being Obama's running mate as V.P. so you *know* that if that goes down something is going to "happen" to Obama.
An "accident" perhaps?
Plane crash most likely.

Nah, that's not obvious enough. Think Manchurian Candidate....

If Hillary is the choice for V.P. Obama won't make it to the election!
If I were him I'd be nervous *now* of stepping aboard a private jet.

Well, given the choice between a charismatic handsome young man and a boring, ugly old one, I know where my vote would go, but I'm shallow, and superficial  .

What a load of nonsense....if you refuse to look at the links, and continue to promote the hoaxes, how does that make the person who debunked them a mindless Obama worshipper who has insulted you?

The question is, what are the rational reasons that anyone with a lick of sense should believe the fabricated hoaxes about Obama, Wright, Mcain, Hillary, or anyone else?

I think it would help if you bothered to actually read what I posted, rather than simply going on the attack again.

You are not helping you case at all.

So instead of Elton John's "The Bitch is Back", the theme music for the Democratic Convention will be "Send in the Clowns".....

So asking you a simple and logical question is also attacking you? On top of 'insulting' you by linking to Snopes?  Poor you.

My case is already made, grounded in facts and reality, supported by linked cites to references from the ones in this thread on back to the ones from Snopes and other sources,  and doesn't need any 'help'.

Your refusal to see that is your problem.

Well, I'd have much preferred to spend the time reading these legendary links, but I've now been through 15 pages of search results to your Off Topic posts, skimming on any thread with "Obama" in the title, or that looked related to the topic.  No hits.  No guarantee I didn't miss something, but your refusal to provide any information, or even indicate which myths about Barry are being debunked has to make me skeptical.

Fuck it.  The primaries are over, and we have all kinds of time before November.  I'll wait to see how you debunk the (rumored) video of his wife talking shit about the USA in that church of his.
