The fashions for 8 year old aren't much different these days - with Mylie Cyrus and Hilary Duff. I bought the girl a new green dress for last Friday's dress up - I also bought her a pair of matching leggings because that skirt was just wayyyyyy to short.

Aylee - I would be cautious with the avocado - I know Roscoe isn't eating a large of amount of it, but their fat content is incedible and they are also closely linked with latex allergies. Because he was prem - I would be extra cautious.

Aylee, I thought it was just me when it came to clothing for little girls. That maybe I was a prude or something. But when you look at most 10 year olds and they look 16, then there is definitely something wrong. Toddler clothing is also just as bad. I don't know, I just recall the number of unknown (to the public) pedophiles out there and just don't get it. I'm glad I had a boy.

Ah hell, we all know that I am a prude.

Funny story. . . last year. . . grandma wanted to buy her a swim suit. I gave the rules. A two piece suit was okay, but it had to cover the belly button, essentially. Grandma said, "Fine. A one piece it is." And went shopping. While shopping, grandpa was informed that it was a one piece or nothing. Later he asked me about it. I gave my reasons. Then. . . he proceeded to tell me the reasons why it was better that Butterhead have a one piece suit as opposed to a bikini.

Ya think dad?

I'm sure Butterhead will have a great time at school. And if they question her fashion choices, tell 'em to butt out, she's just showing her creative flair! "Arteests" are always questioned. [:)]

We got to the weigh in yesterday, I told the nurse that I was not responsible for the fashion choices. . . and I looked. . . and we both laughed because her shirt was on backwards.

So. . . what is arteeestic about wearing your clothing backwards?

I read somewhere in some States kids.have to have had dental checkups before starting kindergarten, dunno if I read that right or misunderstood.

Dental check-ups should start at about 3 or 4.

To really freak you out. . . teeth brushing starts before they have teeth. True story.

Roscoe can have as much fat as he wants!

He passed the four day test. He can have his cado. He likes his cado. I would LOVE a fat baby.

Don't get me started on the nutritionists office. I am going to make a request to never see a particular one again. Butterhead is too fat in her mind (Doctor says, "She's fine") and Albert may be getting too fat (He is not crawling or walking yet.) And I don't weigh enough.

I have to wonder if she would be happy about anything.

You are on my facebook. Do my children LOOK unhealthy? No. . . that is what I thought. Stupid nutritionist. I want the other one.

Thanks!

You had your heart in your throat? So did I! I am so glad that he in continuing to gain weight and grow into a GIANT!

Your children are darling Aylee.

And I agree with your assessment with nutritionists/dieticians. When my girl was diagnosed with diabetes, they set carbohydrate goals for each meal. And I was like - you want her to each HOW MUCH???? So not happening. Now, it isn't a problem, but there was no was a 3 1/2 year old could eat all the food they wanted her to. I think sometimes they are so busy looking at the books and the charts that they forget to look at the person in front of them.

And in my opinion - you're perfect!

ShaharThorne -> RE: The Holly and Potty Show (3/23/2012 10:19:41 AM)

I seldom took Lizard to a doctor except for checkup and shots. At 14, she and her father refused to get her boosters and has the paperwork from the state allowing it. I just wish she would get a meningitis shot just to be safe because she is working in the food industry as a waitress and food prep. One of my best friends is a waiter and had meningitis for 6 weeks. It knocked him right out. You never know if the customers are sick or not.

premies are hard to figure. My son was down to 1 1/2# when he was born now he is 6'4". His son was a premie now he is as tall as his dad.

Toppingfrmbottom -> RE: The Holly and Potty Show (3/23/2012 11:41:55 AM)

That's great. Get them loving healthy habits young and it should be a breeze later!

DesFIP -> RE: The Holly and Potty Show (3/23/2012 2:23:07 PM)

It's not just now. It's been like this for 10 years. I know 8th grade, school rules said shorts had to reach fingertip. No such thing. Not even in the jcpenney school catalog. She wore capris all spring.

We live in a college town and The Man doesn't get the micro minis and leggings look. I think next time he complains about how they look, I'll suggest he goes to the mall and looks in the junior store or Abercrombie Fitch and see what the lengths of skirts are that they can buy.

I did buy more daughter more slutty wear as a teen in shirts because she's on medication that can (and has) caused heat exhaustion. But as the only male that ever saw them was a gelding, it hardly mattered. She likes boys better now, but damn few of them are as good as a horse in her judgment.

LadyHibiscus -> RE: The Holly and Potty Show (3/23/2012 2:28:57 PM)

Your daughter is wise.

DesFIP -> RE: The Holly and Potty Show (3/23/2012 8:15:50 PM)

She's also burned to a crisp. A friend got a new horse and she spent a couple of hours training the friend and the horse. In one of those low cut shirts.

LadyHibiscus -> RE: The Holly and Potty Show (3/23/2012 8:24:50 PM)

Sunscreen. So few believe in it...

jlf1961 -> RE: The Holly and Potty Show (3/27/2012 4:16:32 PM)

Lady H killed the thread

sappatoti -> RE: The Holly and Potty Show (3/27/2012 4:32:44 PM)

Add another tagline to your inventory and revive it jlf. ;)

Maybe LadyH needs a bit of resuscitation too... thread killing, when one is not used to it, can bring about dire consequences.

sappatoti -> RE: The Holly and Potty Show (3/27/2012 5:37:38 PM)

Yes Fluffy, I have. The mist can get rather musty after a while. :D
