From the Marines.  Improvise, Adapt, Overcome.

And there we have it all in one, neatly wrapped up little package. Thank you: how did we survive without your sound advice [:D]?
I dunno. Never too late, I suppose, even at my late age.

Hear that, poor people? You don't have to be poor anymore! Just Improvise, adapt, overcome! Throw away your wheelchairs, quadraplegics! Ditch that white cane, blind people! IQ of 60? No worries! Just Improvise, adapt, overcome!

Hahahaha fuck me, this is great comedy!

Or, like a good childhood friend of mine who is a quadraplegic, leverage such skills and abilities as you have, and make the very best use of them.

Not comedy, dude....life lived, come hell or high water.

At one time in this country you could "work your way out of poverty."
Not anymore.
Jobs these days have fallen way below the level of inflation of the 1960's.
I knew more than a few people who worked two jobs and after a few years owned 2, 3, 4 houses.
Many if not most working class jobs in this country are now at a "subsistance level" of $10-$12 an hour and most without benefits.
The powers that be think of people as "consumers" and don't produce those "consumer goods" in this country anymore.
Gee, this "global economy" just isn't working out too well, is it?
What about all the "promises" we were made that Nafta would create, "high paying manufacturing jobs in the U.S.?"
It's been 13 years now and Nafta has cost us about 3 million high paying manufacturing jobs in the U.S.!
When is *our government* going to realise that they made a mistake and get rid of Nafta?
We're waiting Washington!!!
This country is supposed to be run for The People, not for big business!
And, we need to stop trading with China.

I deny him nothing and hope he grows to become the largest dog shit removal company in the USA. He should franchise it!

...maybe he could team with up with some hippy engineer and create a combined dog shit removal/alternative energy from dog doodoo business.

LOL!  As I read DA's description of fecal entrepeneurship, I was thinking 'Hmmmmm... I wonder what he's doing with all that dog poop?'.

Listening to Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton repeat stories they claim to have been told by the poor and the unemployed, who are unable to pay for food and medicine and feel miserable about it, is enough to make one think we are living in a Third World dictatorship and not the United States of America. But victimhood and a "can't do" spirit is what the Democratic Party has mostly been about since the Great Depression.

A more positive narrative comes from a new book, "Lessons from the Poor: Triumph of the Entrepreneurial Spirit," edited by Alvaro Vargas Llosa and published by the Independent Institute. The book is an optimistic triumph and a lesson about the unlimited capacity of the human spirit, properly inspired and unencumbered.

In the introduction, Llosa writes, "Entrepreneurial ability and energy are present almost everywhere. But in those countries that still languish in backwardness, the labyrinth intervention of the state and the absence of adequate institutions have kept that ability and energy from translating into full development." He writes of nations that used to be poor but are no longer, detailing how their people climbed out of poverty. He blames political, legal (and I would add in some cases, religious) systems for stifling prosperity.

'Living for the City'

A boy is born in hard time mississippi
Surrounded by four walls that aint so pretty
His parents give him love and affection
To keep him strong moving in the right direction
Living just enough, just enough for the city...ee ha!

His father works some days for fourteen hours
And you can bet he barely makes a dollar
His mother goes to scrub the floors for many
And you'd best believe she hardly gets a penny
Living just enough, just enough for the city... yeah!

His sister's black but she is shonuff pretty
Her skirt is short but lord her legs are sturdy
To walk to school she's got to get up early
Her clothes are old but never are they dirty
Living just enough, just enough for the city...um hum

Her brother's smart hes got more sense than many
His patience's long but soon he won't have any
To find a job is like a haystack needle
Cause where he lives they dont use colored people
Living just enough, just enough for the city...

Living just enough...
For the city... ooh, ooh
(repeat several times)

His hair is long, his feet are hard and gritty
He spends his life walking the streets of new york city
He's almost dead from breathing in air pollution
He tried to vote but to him theres no solution
Living just enough, just enough for the city...
Yeah, yeah, yeah!

I hope you hear inside my voice of sorrow
And that it motivates you to make a better tomorrow
This place is cruel no where could be much colder
If we dont change the world will soon be over
Living just enough, stop giving just enough for the city!!!!

La, la, la, la, la, la,
Da ba da da da da da da
Da da da da da da
Da da da da da da da da da
(repeat to end)

This song by Stevie Wonder came on my car radio today as i was running errands, and it captures so much of how i feel about the poor, i thought i'd post the lyrics here.

Peace out.

Probably growing organic vegtables that he then sells to hippies in a health food store LMFAO . I never thought of where the dog shit goes, and I really dont care as long as my yard is free of Labrador Landmines. It would be a pisser if he grows something the hippies and health conscious consume using it though LOL LOL LOL
