Let's keep in mind here that we are talking about the alternate reality of Hollywood. Spike Lee has succeeded in part, BECAUSE he is black. Eastwood has done it, DESPITE being a Republican.

It's just the opposite here; they let the Nuge rip on a regular basis, but good luck trying to find a Dixie Chick tune (some might say that's a good thing [:D]) *waves to luci*

I'm definitely a bigger Nugent fan, but I like a few of the Chicks tunes; even if I didn't, I hate that they get blackballed. [:)]

I suspect that wherever 'here' is, they play off the same ClearChannel computerized list as everywhere else, and Ted's in as heavy rotation as any other dinosaur rocker. All that switching from being a proud draft dodger to a patriotic warrior did, was to boost sales of his books, and ratings of his TV shows. And the myth of the poor starving Dixie Chicks is even sillier... they did so well in CD sales and such apres the Bushslap that they were spared the embarrassment of having to do another Stevie Nicks' cover.
