Menudo is [:'(]  In the UK tripe used to be a delicacy and also a dish for the poorer income families. Most butcher shop windows would have trays of it laying baking in the sun, the black dots on the festering yellowy flabbiness were flies and people would buy it, take it home and boil it up [:'(][:'(][:'(]

Fois gras is also on my list of 'no nos' given that I've seen first-hand how they fatten the goose to get such an overly large liver and it ain't pretty.
