Nah, we men are truly simple creatures with few and simple needs. They are, in order:

1) Tight pussy

2) Loose shoes

3) A warm, dry place to sleep

You forgot a working remote for the TV.....

There are few problems of male life that cannot be solved with a blowjob and a beer...

Also and I say this only partly in jest - you know why we men like blowjobs so much? Because when our dick is in her mouth she isnt TALKING! No "Does this make my ass look fat?"or  "why dont you like my mother?" or "Do you think Tina is sexy?" or "Oh My God I have got to tell you what happened to Brenda!" or "Kevers, the flight waitress is mean to me and they stoled my luggage! My churches chicken is in there and they said they already put it on the other plane!!!"

lol, here DA, have a beer.  why the heck do you think we women are always pushing beer on men?  when that bottle is up to your lips, (no symbolism there, nope), you can't complain much either.

LOL Thanks Christine! Oh I know I mean you women dont want to hear "God damn theres a nice buck on the lease. His heads gonna look good right on that wall there" anymore than we want to hear a 45 minute diatribe recounting the oral history about how Jessie found JUST the right color shoes that match the little flecks in her eyes... I never realize Jessie had eyes, much less flecks cause I never saw above that nice set of bouncy natural 36C's with the perky nipples that just poke out of that tight white bellyshirt.... Mmmmmmmmmmmm tits!!!!

LOL Rhi, sorry but you have seen the picture of her sunning on my deck.... To paraphrase the scarecrow - "If she only had a brain" LOL I mean when the boyfriend thinks of turning her onto smoking crack in the hopes it will jumpstart some higher brain function - wisecracks are warranted LOL. For me:

- Smart enough to at least keep up with me in conversation (generally, smarter is better here)
- Hot, kinky sex
- Physical attractiveness
- The ability to carry on a genuinely compelling conversation (perhaps not all of the time - none of us are always 'on', but at least sometimes)
- To have their own meaningful goals in life (I have no time for those without ambition or those who expect me to support them entirely)
- The ability to function effectively in life and make practical decisions well (at least some of the time, again, not expecting perfection here)
- To be honest and trustworthy when dealing with me
- To put up with my eccentricity and book habit

All of those are necessary but not sufficient on their own.  I require them all out of someone, or I'd rather not be in the relationship in the first place.

I have no way judge your sanity.  You seem like an intelligent guy ... but ... go live with a woman for several years ... and get back with me on your opinion then.

LMAO Yeah, I've seen the photos.  And while I didn't say so at the time - the first thing that went through my head was "oh - another one that's into mindless eye candy - ok, at least I know how to deal with those - expect nothing, smirk a bit when they're shocked."    (Hey, it was an instinctive reaction - wadda ya expect?)

Like I mentioned in the OP - I probably should have waited until a day that I was NOT having a frustration factor past the Not Even Lemonaide point.  (The reference being to the saying concerning Lemons and Lemonaide - some days, it's so far beyond lemonaide that the sink is clogged, the sugar has run out, and the lemons are stacked to the ceiling... )

Women of the world, take these words to heart ! When a man says he's thinking nothing, he means it. Tabula rasa, baby. Autopilot. Flatlining . Coasting, etc.

Men hate to hear this question because we know, from experience, that Ms. Nosey, despite an honest answer, given again and again, will not believe the truth. Believe it and leave us in peace. Btw, y'all should try it sometimes, it's very restfull.

FR:

Interesting take, from a man and a woman, about what makes men happy.  Link.

You can see the difference in the two perspectives simply by the titles.

Male's title: Bring beer, come naked. Is that ok?

Woman's title: Men can switch off the rest of the brain to focus on pleasure

If the titles don't give you enough clue,  read them.  The man's is pretty direct and easy to read for a man.  The woman's goes blah, blah, blah blah blah ad infinitum.

Definately a rather unique way to put things in perspective!

I appreciate you posting that particular article, Firm.  Your assessment of the two halves was quite accurate.  Even being female myself, I found the female writer's portion to be a bit..... dry and difficult to follow.

And yet, no really satisfactory answer has ever been given.  I probably shouldn't post this while I'm having a "not even Lemonaide" day, but since it's a factor in what has made today (and this week) so frustrating, I'm going to anyway.

What is it, Honestly, that men want?  I don't mean "what do sub men want" or "what do dom men want" - because frankly, that is the easy part.  The subs (both male and female) want someone to take charge.  The doms (again both male and female) want someone to take charge Of.  All well and good, but completely irrelevant to what it is that I'm having a hard time figuring out.

What is it that males - regardless of orientation towards dom/sub - want out of women?

Is it Eyecandy and Sex?  (not necessarily in that order)
Or is it something that not even males can explain in a satisfactory manner?

While I was much (Much) younger, I asked my father - as the  male who was closest to me - what it is that men want.  His answer was fairly straightforward, but the older I get, the more I question whether it's still relevant, and whether it was even really Relevant to anyone other than himself when he gave me this answer:   "Men want Betty Crocker in the Kitchen, June Cleaver in Public, and The Happy Hooker in the bedroom."  After saying that, he refused to elaborate further.  Was he right?  Was he wrong?  Am I simply to frustrated right now with males in general for the answer to make much difference?

i'm not sure. i think it depends on the Man.

When i was about 40, two different wealthy men worked with in a high-profile professional manner asked me if i would become their mistress.  Yanno, they'd pay my bills, etc.

i was absolutely floored.  Did all the work we'd done together matter at all?  Were they secretly fantasizing about me while we were deciding which company should win the $35 million contract we'd just awarded?  Why would they want a 40 yr old woman as a mistress to begin with?

After all the time we'd worked together did they really believed i'd be interested in becoming a prostitute?  Was there some built in 'sleaze' factor because the arena we worked in was highly political?

When i refused them -- in turn -- they seemed genuinely baffled.

i ended up feeling like some Men are seriously weird.

Yet other Men i've known -- in and out of D/s -- want my company.  They want to stay in touch, and fix my problems if They can.  They want me to be happy.

i think Men run the gamet.  Some genuinely like women and enjoy them on many levels.  Others seem to have fears, insecurities or hostilties about women, and want as little to do with us as possible while still getting laid.

Don't be silly, we all want the same things, as listed in Memorandum 27 from the annual secret meeting. You did attend your local male network meeting for the year to pick up a copy of the guidelines, right?

No, I got lost on the way, and by the time I asked for directions, the meeting was over.

Level....we all know men do not ask for directions...

Maybe Men Themselves don't really know what They want from women.

Au contraire, they knew exactly what they wanted, and told you directly.

LMFAO So right firm ... See this is the thing of translation from female. If I tell a woman In a bar "So how about a blowjob" that means "Would you suck my dick?" but some women hear it as "I really like you! I think you would complete my life. Will you come redecorate my house? How soon can you start moving stuff in? How many children shall we have? What do you think of Tanner for a boy and JordanLee for a girl? Would you like copies of my credit cards? Whats your ring size?Do you like "Up Where We belong" how would that be for our first dance? Where shall we honeymoon....."

If a man in  a bar said,"how about a blowjob", I would be thinking and overanalyzing.

Should I slap him across the face or throw my drink at him? Nah, good waste of liquor.Should I knee him in the groin or just walk away? Should I find a big burly guy to make puppydog eyes at to kick the shit out of him and defend my honor? Nah then that guy would expect a BJ. What would the trajectory be and how could I best accomodate my desire to put a few ring prints on his face,

yes, the wheels would be spinning and turning. Who knows what will happen to the poor sucker. I do pity the fool who knows nothing about women and how best to achieve the desire of said blowjob. yes, yes, the problem with men is their simple brain and how they think that woman respond to the same stimuli as men.

If he was smart and saw the evil glint in my eye. he would run if he new what was good for him.....

I hate to "pick on" sugarsub, but she just demonstrated another "feminine trait" that causes men heartburn.

She said what she wanted to say.  I responded.  She read what I wrote, and went back to reconstruct what she said so that the impact of my point was mostly lost (thankfully I'd already quoted her most of her post).

Emotionally, men generally live in the present.  Re-interpertations of the past just confuse us.

Firm
