Not immediately after sex or while we're eating ... If we just want someone to cook and screw we can go out to eat and pick up hookers.

LOL If you go to the right buffet at the right strip club in Houston you cna get food and sex at the same time - one stop shopping. But whats wrong with going out to eat and picking up hookers? You know hookers are often cheaper than wives.... You know that "cost of living" worksheet you fill out when you divorce? My last divorce I came to realize I could have hired a housekeeper (which we had anyway), and eaten out all the time (which we did anyway unless I cooked cause she could burn water!) , and I could have hired a hooker 4 nights a week and come out much cheaper. I still remember the judge looked at her cost of living worksheet and burst out laughing before he said "Well missy you are about to have one hell of a lifestyle change"

Luscious, remind me to tell the story of the big bad aviator dude from Bondage.com, Callsign Archangel. He had the righties so suckered in they voted him best poster of the Politics Forum in 2006. Hahahaha.

I reckon the same could be said about me, except Greedy's ridden in the Benz with the top down; she's been to my house, she knows how tall and heavy I am and how long my hair is.

Gotta assume everyone's a fraud till ya meet 'em.

My issue is with those who think that being an asshole and being a dominant are one and the same.

warning:

This type of choice of Barbie doll ,objectified window dressing is what leads to bad marriages and divorces. Choosing for substance, intelligence and not merely youth and looks and tits, leads to a much happeir quality of relationship. Live and learn.

I would suggest that some of us require all of those things, actually; if it's an exclusive choice between only intelligence or only looks for a relationship, I will select option c: pass.

Which of my words suggested it was one or the other?

If a man in  a bar said,"how about a blowjob", I would be thinking and overanalyzing.

Should I slap him across the face or throw my drink at him? Nah, good waste of liquor.Should I knee him in the groin or just walk away? Should I find a big burly guy to make puppydog eyes at to kick the shit out of him and defend my honor?

I think that, perhaps, some posts in this thread are being taken too seriously by some ladies.. Many, if not most, of the posts made by men have been made with tongue firmly in cheek and because we love to pull the girls' pigtails and chase them with bugs.

I love the way Gwynvyd's sig puts it in a nutshell for me.

Next you'll be expecting sensitivity and warmth.....geesh!

Celtic, you are the LAST person I would expect sensitivity from.  And warmth?  Eh, only if you happen to act in the capacity of a human heating element during the winter...

While I realize that many of the posts were made tongue in cheek (though I can think of better uses for your tongues!) I Have appreciated the answers ... even the joking ones.  I asked another male aquaintance last night what his answer to this question is while we were having dinner.  His comment amounted to "The Hunt".

Well, I'm a much better cook than most people, so I don't need that. I can do my own dishes and laundry, pay the bills, pick up after myself, run my own errands, make my bed, and all those other day-to-day things. Be nice to have those done for me, but they aren't "needs".

Even sex isn't really a "need". But touch, companionship, intimacy, is a need for me. By intimacy, I mean not only touching, but also dropping of barriers and masks and be soul-naked. Sharing of one's deepest desires, dreams, fears, and so on. That's a need for me, which I am not getting fulfilled.

Shared goals is a need for me. Planning our future together, working towards that future together, that's a need.

And, as Kitten mentioned (IIRC), I need to be nurtured.

Guess I'm needy.
Strangely enough, this came up in conversation last night with sweetie.

Bared souls, that's a good one. To be truly open, and known, to someone that cares for you, and vice versa.

I think that is a prime motivator for human beings, from killers to saints, and all points in between. A rarely met goal, though.

According to many ALL humans are motivated by two things

sexual pleasure and to be great

its really as simple as that. I dont think theres as huge a devide between the genders that we imply, what do women/men want well of course it varies from person to person though i do think the above is the best assessment in general terms. I think a lot of the assumptions that we have about gender differance is off base women being more emotional than men and all that I think is crap. I think it is problematic creating this differance just as it is problematic answering this question.

Ah, but is it really that simple?

What about people that are asexual? Or that don't care about greatness? What do they need?

I'm not sure greatness and importance are the same; well, they don't have to be the same. I'd tend to agree more with importance, as being closer to a universal need. Even if it only means being important to another person.
