You're right, WH...  have a sense of humor, don't mind taking a joke at your own expense at times, and a quick wit, and POOF...

You'll soon enjoy the peanut gallery as much as the rest of us goofballs.

Why worry about what other's do ???  Are you seeking approval? acceptance???

This clique seems to feel its reason for existing is to run the boards.  We have Mods for that -- why the need to add yoursleves en masse to the 'board authorities'?

Kind of like calling the kettle black  isn't it??

I do not really  find this  forum any  different than  other forums I am a member of even though the genres may be different...even those that are moderated fiercely...compared to some this is pretty tame

Funny. I've been here for about a month, and haven't noticed cliquey behaviour here, just people who are friends. Coming from a board that is actually cliquey, I was pleasantly surprised at how many people here are willing to joke around with and befriend a n00b. I've had a lot of fun both on the board and in cmail with folks from the forums. I also love reading about the R/L meetings and hope to meet some of the great folks here at some point.

That said, my approach to new communities (online and off) may differ from yours. I tend to lurk a bit before jumping in, and then try to get a feel for the board/community. I haven't yet started a thread, as I prefer to read and contribute for now. When disagreeing, I try to do so without pissing off the person I disagree with. In short, I try to respect the community and see where I fit in.
But that's just me, YMMV.

What she said! Occasionally Wyld DOES make a good point!

Seriously, Gwyn also summed it up perfectly--I feel exactly the same way--friendship is what its all about! (I would have also quoted Gwyn, but the ensuing post would have been ten pages long!) Sorry--the smartass in me could not resist!

Or do you prefer to spend time with people who you vehemently disagree with and don't respect?

That could explain alot.

Hmmm… My good friends in real life like Lucivar, Gethan, dareman and Zync1000 are on these forums.  They have been guests at my home, my parties and I have played side by side with these people in local dungeons as well as ‘vanilla’ activities like movies, the beach, fishing, dinner, video games and etc.  Why shouldn’t I play side by side with them on these forums too?

Lovers/slaves like slave donna, slave aimee, slave anastasia and accipitres are on these forums.  Are you saying I shouldn’t play with them here on these forums just as naturally as I would in real life?

My fellow Floridians that I talk with on the phone, some of which I have or will be meeting in the near future like Cjan, GreedyTop, lronitulstahp and Gwynvyd are on these forums.  I chat with them as I would any other time.

There is a long list of people I talk with on the phone that live outside of Florida, some of which I will be meeting in the very near future like CaliGirl, Lushy and LadyHibiscus.

I would rather see a casual or humorous post from them in a reply to a reply than address your bright pink wall of text OP about the deep meaning of your font, its color, your latest identity crisis, your latest screen name, how you think someone isn’t a “twue Dom” because he wouldn’t let you top from the bottom or how you feel left out of the clique of real people that meet, date and play in real life.

Nonetheless, I am glad you see them as authorities despite the fact they are not.  I hope you listen to the advice they give and eventually your posts actually come to bear the very substance you claim they lack.

speaking of alleged weddings i wonder if that means my alleged handfasting is off since i met my alleged fiancee and master here?

I think that is so great having a Handfsating ceremony fluffy! Are you doing the year and a day route ceremony first before the lifetime commitment? Congrats, Blessed Be and Be Well for you both!
