Status: offline 		People are dying of horrible things every day & we are concerned as to whether people use correct pronunciation & spelling?  If this is the most serious thing people have to bitch about, maybe time would be better spent thinking about all the things we have to be thankful for. 

Ain't never used to be in the dictionary either, but it is now.  If we all spoke proper english, we would still be calling our toilets loo's, wouldn't we?  Do we really care all that much about proper pronunciation & spelling?

By that logic, we should be using subbe, toppe, bottomme, slavess, switchette...  We don't, though.  We use genderless terms for all of those things.  There really isn't any reason that dom should be any different.

Status: offline 		This by nno means hate mail, Shel, but have you considered that there once were no such words as dominant or dominatrix?  For that matter our earliest ancestors probably did well with a few grunts and groans.  Neologisms, which domme once was, come into existence because of a genuine need for clarification of something or other.  Why not save your ire for abusers of the your vs. you're or similar careless spelling?  Lighten up and join the party.

Besides, some of us enjoy separating the word to produce the offer "dom me."
