My Master simply prefers me looking my best for him, whatever that might be.  I'll have manicures and pedicures done - I love them - and he enjoys thinking of me "at the groomers" for him.    When I was laid off and short on funds, I could do my own nails.

And like what DarkVictory said, Master loves the idea of my being totally perfectly put together, so that he could pretty much rip me apart, leaving me a mess.

i have been approached by interested Doms who have expressed their desire for me to be maintained as DarkVictory has described but so far none of my companions have expressed such desires. i enjoy being utterly feminine like that and find ways of being such regardless of clothing or situation. i am one of the few girls i know who will hike in boots and a short skirt but i can assure you it makes for faster and more discret "necessity" stops on the trail! LOL!

As to fingers and toes...i feel sure my companions would notice if they were NOT well maintained. However i do it for personal and professional reasons. i enjoy them looking nice and as i do massage and energy work - usually barefooted, it is important that they both look good and that my hands are soft. Color wise, i prefer white frosts, french and translucents.

And as a woman, i tend to notice these things in other women.

As to men...i love manicured and pedicured fingers and toes :-) i find well kept hands and feet to be very sexy! The details speak louder than words :-)

I'm not sure Firm really cares one way or the other, as long as my nails aren't a mess.  I do my own manicuring, but don't wear polish all the time as I'm rarely happy with the results.  I did splurge and have my fingernails professionally painted today... a lovely clean French manicure.  Firm said, at the cost of $7 plus tip, it was something I could have done all the time if I wanted.

I typically wear my nails fairly long and I think Firm likes them that way...

He likes to have his back scratched.

Walk?  There just is no wayyyyyy.  Maybe she uses a scooter, the kind made for elderly people that have difficulty walking (she sure seems to fit the criteria).

And that carpet looks like new puppy poop.  Ewwwwwwwwww.

Assuming the woman's nails are clean and not replusive, do you like longish nails?  Certain nail polish colors (like red, or a french manicure)?  Do you like nail art?

Personally I like shorter nails with lighter natural color polish though I will allow darks and blacks from time to time as a reward. They must be kept clean at all times, polish optional but the second the polish starts to peal, chip or show nail near the cuticle it comes off. If I noticed it wasn’t perfect it’s too late to fix it. I like shorter nails because last thing you want is dragon lady nails if you decide to do some anal play or something. No nail jewelry, dangles, seashells or stones for the same reason. From time to time I will allow a “primp up” with some fancy art or something but in general we run a working house and fancy nails just get in the way.

Do you care at all about toenails?

Yes and the same rules applies (except the anal play *shiver*)

Beyond that, if you are going to have long nails that stay strong you need a housekeeper. The worst thing for nails is water. Scrubbing tubs and toilets and floors is a recipe for broken nails.
I disagree and agree with this You're so right, nails HATE water! The less they are in it the happier they are.

We don't have a housekeeper (hi, that's me) and the work I do around here is far above & beyond that of the average duties of a housewife since we're renovating this old bird from the ground up. I've been in the crawlspace, ripped out floor joists, done tiling, grouting, laid hardwood, painting, demolition, plumbing, electrical, run a tiller & dug up half the yard at least twice and even blown insulation in the attic - all with long nails.

If I'm playing in water or in the dirt I wear gloves which helps a lot. He loves my nails (gogo back scratchers!) and I enjoy keeping them nice especially in the midst of all this chaos when I'm often running around in a grubby t'shirt and cutoffs with my hair pulled up in a spider web festooned ponytail.

I do my own nails so it's pretty inexpensive, but I do buy good base & polishes & topcoats and I think that makes a difference in the quality & length of time they will last. Cheap Walmart polishes start chipping within two days, not worth the $3 to put them on.

I've only had one manicure and I didn't like having it done, it just felt creepy and like they weren't my fingers. Plus they only stayed nicely polished for a week. IMO not worth the money invested.

I'm with you on this.  The process of having my nails done by someone else is unpleasant, and the polish chips practically before I've left the salon.  Pedicures, on the other hand, are sheer bliss and last for a month.

They are creepy to me as well. And what's up with them wanting to massage you to your shoulder? get off me! Not a fan, ugh.

When I got a pedicure the results only lasted two weeks, maybe a little longer, but then again I go barefoot all the time. It's been 3 months and I am seriously due for another one, but it's not bothering me or him an I have better things to spend the money on.

I got a pedicure today with a gorgeous shade of pinkish/mauvish polish and Lumus hasn't noticed.... Ahhhh, the things we do as women.

(But I had fun and I really like the colour!)

greetings candystripper,

haven't read the whole thread but just thought i would comment since this is REALLY important to my master. He prefers that i have my nails french manicured (all the time). i'm not big into nail polish, makeup, or anything like that, but i do it because it makes him happy - and sometimes it's fun (also brings back good memories of my mom, because that was the only thing she ever did for herself in the last year or so of her life). i try to keep my toenails french pedicured as well, although that isn't quite as important to Him so it's more dependent on whether i have the disposable income at any given time. but french manicures are no longer optional :) thankfully he is fine with my regular nails and doesn't prefer fake nails (i bite my nails so they are short to begin with, plus it would interfere with my job to have long nails).

respectfully,
a'ishah.

I'm a red fingernails and toenails girl.  But no long toenails, I find that odd and creepy and kinda vampirish (that whole hanging upside-down from a tree branch in a bat-like way creepy).

Cali

Hah! Cali gives me the opening for a semi-rant that I was going to post tonight, anyway!

Disclaimer: I have a strong foot fetish, and I like toenails to be natural, clear, or a very light pinkish shade, almost not there. I arranged a spa visit several months ago for my submissive lady so she could have her fingers and toes done in the "almost-not-there" polish. (::sigh:: Almost a month until we're together again.)

The semi-rant: Why do many, many women insist on painting their toes a deep red while leaving their fingernails untouched? Note Cali paints both sets of nails; while red is not my thing, I'll bet she looks impeccable -- and complete! To my twisted mind, it's grating to see dark-polished toes and not a thing on the fingers. I'd think toenails would be more difficult to polish than fingernails, so...why do so many of you beautiful women do the bottom -- but not the top?????

Inquiring, kinky minds want to know....

Toes are much much easier for me to polish! No shaky left-handed stuff when doing the toes. I do know what you mean though, but I think some perhaps work in places where vibrantly colored nails are not welcome. Others? They just do their toes.

greetings les,

actually, it's much easier to paint toenails than fingernails, at least if you're not ambidextrous. and if you are doing both at once, you usually (or i usually at least) have to do the toenails first so that i don't end up ruining my fingernail polish with nail polish remover. i also used to work around food and fingernail polish was not allowed so i just painted my toes. thankfully now i work from home online so that solves that problem (and master gets what He wants).

greetings misssepphora,

erm...maybe this is too personal but i have to admit i'm in the wtf camp over the whole trousers issue - i can't stand to wear pants during my period, and i can't fathom any situation in which pants might actually be more comfortable during menstruation. could you explain? i am totally miffed about this.

respectfully,
a'ishah.

Trouser club here.
I find pants more comfortable during my period too. Jeans seems to help push against my back relieving pain. I won't use tampons and again jeans help hold everything in place, no shifting pads.
That to me is discomfort.

Any woman I own or even associate with as a submissive absolutely, positively will be groomed like a lady.  She will be made up, coiffed, shaved, perfumed, polished, manicured, pedicured, etc.  I expect my women to look like beautiful examples of the feminine arts.  What they look like *after* being used and degraded is in part so attractive, because of how they looked before.  I demand and expect high heels, skirts, garter belts, stockings, lacy panties and bras - open tipped or crotched, long hair, etc.

Women do not belong in trousers unless I have them moving hay bales out of the barn, or some such masculine task.  Much better is a housedress and apron as she makes biscuits whilst I move the hay bales.  It's simply more suitable to who they are... women.

I read this to Papa, and his reply was something along "Damn Skippy".
He is very particular about my nails. I must have french manicured acrylics on my fingernails, and either pink or fire engine red toenails. He has allowed me to refrain from the acrylics for now, with the baby coming anyday now, but I must keep my natural nails buffed and looking good. Usually I give myself pedicures, but in the last few weeks Papa has treated me to professional pedi's, since I have a hard time reaching my toes at the moment. And I must admit, having my foot dipped in parrain and then massaged is indeed heaven...
