greetings, have been reading alot of emails lately and alot of them seem to say maybe your ex was not a "true Dom" am new to this site and only a year in the lifestyle so am wondering what makes a true Dom? am looking forward to reading peoples thoughts.

I'd say it's all in the quotation marks. You can't write "true Dom" if you don't have quotation marks.

There is a certification process, at the end of which a card is handed out, and only after they have the card in hand they are allowed to get a tattoo that proclaims "True Dom certified on: " . Then again I haven't gotten my card, so I am not sure. Good luck in your search, Thadius

A true dom is anyone arrogant and self-centered enough to think that every other assertive person in the world should get off on the exact same thing that gets the 'true dom' off. I have never once, not ever heard someone call someone else a 'true dom', that did not claim they were themselves a true dom or true sub. I have never once ever heard anyone say "I am a fake dom".

a "true Dom" is the one that has the "weal sub" Seriously a Dom is true if he makes you happy and you work well together, everybodies idea of D/s is different and quite often if someone disagrees with how you live then you get branded a fake or a freak
