Hoo boy, it's latish October! Way past time to start the Christmas crocheting! This year's project is computer chair snugglies, a basic 'sort of pattern' that I invented a few years ago. They are sort of like blankies, but wearable in that they leave the hands free and don't fall off while you are making a sammich. When sitting at the puter (or on the couch or in the comfy chair), they cover the front, back, and arms to the elbow. They are super easy, and the feedback I got on a bunch that I made 3 years ago was that they are 'ugly but awesome'. [:D] Now, where did I put that P hook and all that Homespun?? [8D]

I still wish that I could crochet without cursing and torment. I have that Vogue Crocheted Hats book next to the bed, with the hats I want all tagged with postits. How hard can it be to make a HAT, right? But the one I want the most says "experienced". That's LOTS of cursing and ripping. Now that the alpaca cardie is done, I am just waffling around. What I SHOULD be doing is designing scarf fabrics, that's one of the reasons I have the yarn inventory book. I am great at Pondering, not so much at the doing this week. I also have to start sewing freakin flogger bags! There was a gal who made fabulous bags, with french seams and all that... I am not entirely following her lead. French seam for the main one, but the multiple rollover fabric that she did for the drawstring is a NO. She complained endlessly about breaking needles, and no wonder! I will be putting in BUTTONHOLES for the drawstring holes, and that's that!

no tornadoes but we are still horded up around my room. That south wind is giving us a bugger when we are driving into it. I suppose I should go clean my room up and organize it to a bedroom. I have to get up in the early morning to go do a bubble test (some form of a EMG or some other test).

Did not get up til about 6:30 my time had a busy time in town (and 2 set of doctors playing tag with me.). [sm=gaah.gif] Guess I will take my meds and go back to bed. I can clean up my bedroom sometime tomorrow.

http://www.meetup.com/ When I was living in Austin, I belong in a few groups. Tarot cards, paganism and so forth. I LOVE the knitting and crocheting groups. Meeting up in the deli closed to me and I got me a soda and bagel there and worked on a afghan there (was working on Lighthouse yarn then). In a month or so, I am going to get 2 orders of the same afghan in different colors.

FINALLY!!! I found and brought the perfect peace sign directions. 0n Ebay got it the other night and it came in today (while I was sleeping off the early morning and test). Mom was about to give me the 3rd degree when I reminded her that I had some monies from a return. Excuse me...I got to go for an AFK.

I am crocheting on the Peace Sign afghan. The border and main design are Bon Bon print and the void main background is Amethyst (Red Heart 100% acrylic). I know that I will need more of both of the yarns, so I will take back most of the skeins and do a swap. Hopefully, I will get this one done before Dec. 16th. After the 2nd of January, I have to be hospital-bonded for this mess that I am having. Maybe we can find out why am I getting up and falling down.

[sm=hissyfit.gif] I went to take the extra yarn in for a refund. They wanted my Id and at first, I could not find it (it was hiding in my Medicaid letter). So I go to the yarn section and got more Amethyst. I looked all over for the Bon Bon in the section and they were out of it... So yet another delay... Someone get me some Amaretto...

day 3 of the monitor torture. I finally got the time to clean out the closet and put the ones that need to be complete under the bed. I got the ladybug back out and I will be sewing the feet and spots tonight. Afterwards, I will work on the peace sign afghan until I can't crochet until I have the Bon Bon yarn. And then I will do more on the Penguin. Since I am going to tested for a few days in January, I get to bring a few projects to work on. I am thinking that I can get a few snowflakes and stars if I am allowed to bring in my sprayer glue. I will miss the 'Net for about a week.

I got 2 more scarves done & the 3rd is almost a 1/3 done. I started on of the hats & than realized that my circulars are too long. I'll pick up shorter ones on Tuesday if i have time or Wednesday during our group.

I am taking the ladybug and the peace bug projects with me tomorrow for the sleep study. I got a leather bag that can be used for everything, even a change of clothing.
